00:08And my theory is that Peter Quill is a god.
00:11And he couldn't simply be turned to dust and have his soul stored inside the soul stone,
00:14because all gods and divine beings go to a different state when they die.

00:18So the only solution the infinity stones found was to just erase his body from existence,
00:22using only the reality stone.
00:24Peter Quill was an exception, having to be simply erased because the soul stone could not contain his divine soul.
00:28And this probably happened with other Celestials as well, since Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe.
00:33That likely included Celestial beings, though not those of extreme power, like Eternity or the Living Tribunal.
00:38That's why in Eternals we see that Tiamat wasn't erased, they only delayed his birth.
00:42What if this visual difference is actually a clue left by the directors?
