00:00Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro congratulated the people of St. Lucia for an outstanding example of democracy in Monday's general elections.
00:06On his social media, the President wrote,
00:08The people of St. Lucia spoke loudly and clearly, confirming at the polls the leadership of Prime Minister Philip Pierre
00:14and the path of social justice that he has sheltered together with the Labour Party.
00:18I congratulate with respect and admiration this democratic victory, which honors the will of the people
00:23and strengthens hope for a sovereign, dignified and united Caribbean.
00:27The President continued, From Venezuela we celebrate this new term alongside our brothers and sisters in St. Lucia,
00:34confident that the bond between our peoples will continue to grow based on cooperation, respect and a shared vision of peace and prosperity.
