First Family open to lifestyle check, says Palace

The First Family is open to a lifestyle check, Malacañang said on Dec. 2, 2025, after an investigative report tagged Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander 'Sandro' Marcos as having received 'allocable funds' from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that Marcos' Jr. has read the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism's (PCIJ) report about the distribution of 'allocable' infrastructure funds that placed Ilocos Norte, the Marcos family’s bailiwick, among the top recipients. Castro said the option 'has always been there.' 'No one is barred from undergoing a lifestyle check,' Castro said when asked.
