FULL MATCH: Solo Sikoa wins Survivor Series Elimination Match: SmackDown highlights, Nov. 28, 2025
Transcript
00:00Elimination tag team matchup for
00:04the anchor of this Thanksgiving weekend tradition known as Survivor Series.
00:09The very first one, who will ever forget Corey Graves, Andre the Giant,
00:14Butch Reed, King Kong Bundy, one man gang, Rick Rude.
00:19I guess Bam Bam Bigelow, Dr. Russell, Hulk Hogan, Ken Patera,
00:23Paul Orndorff setting the stage for this tradition.
00:26Well, as an aspiring WWE superstar, once upon a time,
00:31I was fascinated by my favorite Survivor Series team of all time.
00:34Ultimate Warrior, the Texas Tornado, and the Legion of Doom captivated me.
00:39One of my favorite events all year.
00:41This is such an awesome blowback to that rule set.
00:44And Solo Sokoa will start this matchup against that man,
00:49Chris Saban of the Motor City Machine Guns.
00:51Let's talk about the rules of these matches.
00:53Once you are eliminated, which could be via pinfall, submission, count out,
00:57or disqualification, you have to go back to the locker room.
01:01You must leave ringside.
01:02If you don't do that, your team will forfeit.
01:05And now, dragging Saban, and here's Solo Sokoa with the right hands.
01:09I'm sure the score will be settled evenly, fairly, and without controversy.
01:16But Solo Sokoa wasting no time, grabbing the upper hand on behalf of his team.
01:23The NFTs intimidating and dangerous, as I mentioned earlier.
01:27Led by this man, Solo Sokoa.
01:29Think about the collection of talent on the opposite side of the ring as J.C.
01:33Mateo and Tala Tonga take their shots in the corner.
01:37Well, and you look at the NFTs, it's blind loyalty, Corey, right?
01:41Solo Sokoa talked about the fact that they're not blood.
01:44But this is all about being the best.
01:46This is about respect.
01:48This is about having each other's back.
01:50This is about taking out everyone in their path.
01:52When you talk about blind loyalty, it's with good reason.
01:55Solo Sokoa is the one who coordinated the arrival of the Tongans in WWE.
02:01A few years back, the thought of Tama Tonga ever stepping foot in a WWE ring was
02:06unheard of.
02:07You never thought you would see Tonga Loa on this side of the earth again.
02:11Tala Tonga was just breaking into the business in Japan.
02:15It was so far fetched, it didn't seem possible.
02:19Solo coordinated it, which is why all of these guys have such loyalty toward the man.
02:23Double team for the Motor City Machine Guns and also J.C.
02:26Mateo, who no one ever thought would be in WWE, and a kick out now.
02:31Tonga Loa, of course, a former tag team champion here in WWE.
02:40The Motor City Machine Guns who beat Tonga Loa and
02:43Tama Tonga last year to win the tag titles.
02:46And now J.C. Mateo, the powerhouse of his crew.
02:51Well, at two years point, yes, J.C. Mateo was led to WWE by Solo Sokoa.
02:57But I would say of all the members of that team, on paper,
02:59he was the most likely to arrive in WWE.
03:02He had an Olympic background, a powerhouse wrestler, a great deal of success in Japan
03:06and around the globe.
03:08But it was, again, Solo Sokoa who made that happen.
03:11And now Sami Zayn, who's had issues over three years with Solo Sokoa.
03:17And look at Mateo, the power.
03:20That's what I'm talking about.
03:21And a cover on Sami.
03:22Sami, will this be an elimination?
03:24No, and a kick out.
03:25Sami Zayn, of course, is the man who took the United States Championship from Solo Sokoa.
03:31Look at this.
03:32Goodness, Mateo putting on a show.
03:35And Sami kicks out again.
03:37End of August, Zayn took the United States title from Sokoa.
03:42Solo has not forgotten.
03:44Sami, of course, has been out of action for a number of weeks since losing the championship to Iliad and Ragnar.
03:50Sami is going to backfire spectacularly.
03:55Look at Solo and Tala again taking advantage with Tama running interference.
04:00Tag made to Tonga Loa.
04:03There's the brothers, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
04:06Sons of the legendary Hobbit.
04:08As is Tala Tonga.
04:10Now, over the top, very eccentric, yet dangerous.
04:18Maybe the most unpredictable of all the MFTs, Tama Tonga.
04:21Tag made here, Solo.
04:23I would agree with that assessment.
04:25Here comes the general tonight.
04:27Solo cover.
04:29Love to eliminate Sami Zayn.
04:32Again, we're in the middle of a commercial free 30 minutes here on Friday Night SmackDown.
04:37This is a five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination matchup.
04:42No eliminations yet in this match.
04:46And Sami Zayn leapfrog over the top and a gold line to Solo.
04:50Great hard resilience of Sami Zayn, one of the gutsyest performers this industry has ever known.
04:59And here comes Shinsuke Nakamura and JC Mateo from the MFTs and Shinsuke Nakamura taking the fight.
05:08The King of Strong Style.
05:09Tama Tonga rocked by the lethal feet of Shinsuke Nakamura.
05:14And Tango Loa gets a boot to the back of the head as well.
05:20And Nakamura sets him up on the top rope.
05:24Running knee right to the ribcage.
05:26Tonga Loa sent crashing to the floor, but watch Mateo.
05:30This bulldozer just flattened the King of Strong Style.
05:32And you just saw the advantage of having Tola Tonga means to your team.
05:37Just that distraction, drawing Shinsuke for a moment will allow Mateo to attack.
05:41Listen, I find it hard to bet against the MFTs in this situation.
05:45They are such a well-oiled machine.
05:47And here's that sliding German, patented by Nakamura.
05:50Talk about the blind loyalty, that leads to chemistry.
05:53These guys are always on the same page, cover.
05:55Solo Sokoa breaks things up.
05:58On the other side of things, yes, there's a mutual respect.
06:00All these international allies.
06:02But think back, Nakamura's first match in WWE was against Sami Zayn back at NXT.
06:08You don't forget stuff like that.
06:09There are bodies being tossed everywhere.
06:13Tonga sent to the outside.
06:16And there's the difference maker.
06:19The near seven foot tall, Tonga.
06:21But it's gonna take two men to send him outside the ring.
06:25Raven and Shelly working in unison.
06:29I don't know if there's another tag team that does it better.
06:31Tag made, Alex Shelley legal.
06:33Here he comes.
06:34And Shelly now takes out Solo Sokoa.
06:37Shelly now with the assist.
06:43Hale Saban.
06:44Down goes Paula Tonga.
06:48Sami Zayn, Rey Fenix thinking about joining the party.
06:52Over the top and everyone's down.
06:59And still no eliminations.
07:05Mateo cut off at the pass by Alex Shelley.
07:11Another boot to the chin, tag made.
07:13Unbeknownst to Mateo, Saban legal.
07:16No, he's not legal.
07:17Beautiful pitted combination.
07:19One, two, three.
07:20Mateo eliminated.
07:21Wow.
07:22JT Mateo has been eliminated.
07:29Technical wizardry, tag team masterminds.
07:32The Motor City Machine Guns doing it best.
07:35So Sami Zayn's team now with a five on four advantage with the first elimination of the night.
07:41The advantage couldn't prove to be short-lived, so you need to make it count while you have it.
07:48And the Motor City Machine Guns look so great together over 20 years as a team.
07:54Cover.
07:55One, two, left.
07:56Tonga kicks out.
07:58Toma Tonga surviving.
08:00I can imagine.
08:03Toma Tonga emerges successful in this matchup.
08:08He can return his focus.
08:11Lord Iliad Dragunov.
08:12We've seen those interactions backstage for the past several weeks.
08:15The Mad Dragon has to know Toma Tonga's got a taste for the United States gold.
08:20And we've gotta focus on this match tonight.
08:22This match is critical for Solo Sokoa and the NFTs as he looks to build a tradition of destruction.
08:28And Shinsuke with a knee in the back of the neck of Toma Tonga.
08:31Shinsuke lining it up.
08:36Here we go, Toma Tonga in trouble with Solo.
08:39He went for the spike.
08:42Nakamura countered.
08:44Yes!
08:45Toma Tonga though, able to buy himself some time, takes down Nakamura.
08:49Bang!
08:53Look at that, the cutthroat.
08:55And Toma Tonga into the cover.
08:57Shin's eliminated.
08:58It's four on four now.
09:00Shinsuke Nakamura has been eliminated.
09:05Here comes Rey Fenix joining the prey, bringing the fight to Toma Tonga.
09:10And Rey Fenix tried to bring the fight to Toma Tonga a couple of weeks ago.
09:13Bang!
09:15That springboard back elbow by Fenix.
09:18Let's not forget, we were talking about one of the most decorated luchadors in
09:22Triple A history, Rey Fenix.
09:24Yeah, well that'll slow you.
09:25Face first, Toma Tonga planting Fenix.
09:29Sometimes greatness gets you here, but it's about what you do when you arrive.
09:33What about what Toma Tonga and his brother Tangaloa accomplished in Japan?
09:38One of the most dangerous tag teams there.
09:41Realism, destiny as Fenix is whipped into the corner.
09:44And now the double team by the brothers, and big clothesline.
09:49Tonga follows it up with a splash.
09:52My God!
09:52Bang!
09:54Sit down!
09:55One, two, three!
09:57And did Fenix kick out again?
09:58I think he did.
09:59I think he did.
10:03Tonga Loa can't believe it.
10:04Running to Fenix for surviving, but look at the height on this epic spine buster from Tonga Loa.
10:11I think it's nothing short of miraculous that Fenix is still in this fight.
10:17Yeah, I agree.
10:17I don't know how Rey is in this thing.
10:20Resilient Rey Fenix, come onto the shoulders of Tonga Loa.
10:24Rey turns it around, down goes Loa.
10:27Here's the pinning combination, and an elimination.
10:30Tonga Loa has been eliminated.
10:36And it is back to a four on three advantage now for Sami Zayn and company.
10:40And there is Tala Tonga, the difference maker.
10:43The skyscraper of a human being, as mean as he is tall, imposing his will on Rey Fenix.
10:55And Cole, I think you'd agree with me, but perhaps the scariest aspect of Tala Tonga's game is how brand new he is to this industry.
11:06He was just beginning to find himself in Japan before arriving here at the request of Solo Sokoa,
11:12which means Tala Tonga's gonna get badder.
11:14He's gonna get better.
11:15He's gonna get more comfortable, which means more dangerous.
11:19He's gonna get badder than this?
11:20Yeah, believe it or not, it's possible.
11:22And Solo Sokoa now, with Rey Fenix in trouble.
11:28Solo went for the spike.
11:30Rey rolls out of harm's way.
11:33Tag was made.
11:34Saban from the top.
11:36Crossed body.
11:40Dropkick takes down Tama Tonga.
11:42Saban on fire right now, but.
11:44Well, that didn't work out.
11:45That's a seven foot extinguisher, my friend.
11:47Oh, and a, is that a spike?
11:50I think it was just an uppercut.
11:52Either way, it nearly knocked the teeth out of Saban's head.
11:55If it was an uppercut, I think the spike's coming next.
11:57As Solo Sokoa with Saban on his shoulders and a back elbow by the leader of the NFT tag made.
12:07I don't know, Solo saw it.
12:08Shelly's legal.
12:09He's gonna know now.
12:10What a double team.
12:15Dream sequence of offense from the machine guns bringing the fight to Tala Tonga.
12:21And now turning their attention back to the leader of the MFTs, Solo Sokoa.
12:26Uh-oh, are they gonna call for it?
12:28Gonna call for Skull and Bones, perhaps?
12:30This is the move that won them the tag team titles at the expense of the Tongans.
12:34Yeah, but Tala had the official distracted in the NFTs.
12:39Tala Tonga just tagged himself in.
12:42Handling the dirty work on the outside.
12:47Chokeslam on the apron.
12:48My God.
12:49To Shelly.
12:52Tonga, cover.
12:55We're back to even a three apiece.
12:57Alex Shelly has been eliminated.
13:03Tala Tonga, back to his feet.
13:06They wanna turn around.
13:08Chris Saban, crossbody caught.
13:15Up across the shoulder, Saban fighting his way out.
13:18Looking for a sunset flip, but not against-
13:20Look at the power.
13:23What a close line.
13:24Cover by Tala Tonga.
13:26And now the MFTs with a three on two advantage.
13:32Chris Saban has been eliminated.
13:35So it's down to Sami and Rey.
13:37And Sami Zayn cannot like his chances right now.
13:40In fact, I bet you Sami Zayn would agree with what I'm about to say.
13:45I don't think you're gonna hear anything you said after that.
13:46That's a valid point.
13:48Big kick by Phoenix, staggers the big man.
13:50Rey Phoenix, again, had a match up with this big dude a couple of weeks ago.
13:55But back to my point about Tala Tonga continuing to improve,
14:00continuing to get better under the tutelage of Solo.
14:03Once upon a time, there was a young gun in the bloodline who learned a lot from a
14:07tribal chief, and he's now leading his own family.
14:10Rey Phoenix, how the heck is Rey Phoenix doing this?
14:14He also just got kicked in the brain by Rey Phoenix.
14:18But of course, you see, I'm drawing parallels to Solo Sokoa.
14:23Tama Tonga now, the legal man.
14:28Rey Phoenix looking to rise from the ashes.
14:31Walk in the tightrope, goodbye, amigo.
14:34Tama Tonga, Tama Tonga takes advantage.
14:38Well, I thought he did, but now Rey Phoenix with a horse and rata.
14:41What an amazing recovery by Phoenix.
14:46That was awe-inspiring.
14:49And now, taking out Tala and Solo.
14:51Phoenix showing the world who the hell he is.
14:56And God.
14:59Tama Tonga about decapitating Phoenix, and Sami Zayn is all alone.
15:07Rey Phoenix has been eliminated.
15:11A three on one advantage for the MFTs.
15:19Hey, listen, Sami wanted this.
15:23Sami brought a lot of this on himself, picking a fight for the MFTs.
15:29Sami's not gonna back down.
15:34He won't go down without a fight.
15:38No one in his corner.
15:41Hence the danger of these traditional Survivor Series tag matches.
15:46And Sami trying to take the fight to Tala Tonga, and a big uppercut.
15:49As much as Sami Zayn would love to hear himself announced as a sole survivor here tonight.
15:57It's becoming more and more unlikely by the moment as the MFTs tee off on the underdog from the underground.
16:05This Tala Tonga is just a massive human being.
16:09Another splash in the corner.
16:16And a tag made, and here comes Solo Sokoa.
16:21Gonna use the momentum, Tala Tonga to back it on up into Sami Zayn.
16:26First pain homage to the late great Maga.
16:30Tag made to Tala Tonga now.
16:32What's frightening, Curry, is the MFTs are just getting started.
16:43Yeah, just trying to find their footing as a whole here in WWE.
16:47What better way to announce yourself?
16:51You're a rival to the roster and the crowd.
16:54Damn, a little kick out of nowhere.
16:57Sami collapses into the cover.
17:03Tala Tonga has been eliminated.
17:08So it is now a two on one advantage for the MFTs.
17:11Tala Tonga, Solo Sokoa, Sami Zayn trying to survive.
17:17One, two.
17:20History has taught us no one has more heart than Sami Zayn.
17:24Even to his own physical detriment, there is nothing resembling quit inside Sami Zayn.
17:31But in this situation, perhaps he should look for a little quit, find some.
17:36Back in the ring, let's go.
17:38Now Tala Tonga driving Sami face first into the ring post.
17:43And again, sometimes Sami Zayn's his own worst enemy.
17:46Three, two, three, four.
17:51Big uppercut rocks the jaw of Zayn.
17:53Get him, get him, get him, get him.
17:55This is gonna be a disaster.
17:56And now, Tala Tonga up over the top.
18:00And into the time keepers area.
18:02Big man got a little overzealous, Sami Zayn now scrambling back into the ring.
18:07And now the official counting, we gotta- He's counted out.
18:10He's counted out, Tala Tonga's been counted out.
18:14Tala Tonga has been eliminated.
18:19So we're down to a one-on-one.
18:21Sami's got a chance with Solo, who he beat, remember, for the US title.
18:26How?
18:27How is this happening?
18:29And there it is, the spinning solo by Sokoa.
18:33And another spinning solo to Sami.
18:38One, two, three.
18:39Zayn's still in it.
18:41I don't know where Sami gets it.
18:47I don't know what Zayn taps into to find it.
18:51But after not one, but two spinning solos.
18:56Zayn kicks out, but this big man is perched up top.
19:01The end is near.
19:02Solo Sokoa with a splash and a cover.
19:06And again, Sami kicks out.
19:13I can't believe it, and I guarantee you neither can Solo.
19:17Here's the thing for Solo, Corey, right?
19:20He has made it his mission over the past couple of months to eliminate Sami Zayn.
19:25After Zayn took the United States Championship from him, he's got a chance to do that.
19:28It's getting frustrating.
19:30But Solo has made multiple promises to the entire MFT, to the WWE Universe, to himself.
19:36This is where he would shine.
19:38Solo's in jeopardy of becoming a liar in front of the world.
19:41And a liar in front of his team.
19:46Critical moment for Solo here.
19:48With Sami up on his shoulders, high above the ring.
19:52Sami Zayn trying to reverse things, and he does.
19:53Sucks it with power ball for the win over Solo.
19:57Take it two!
20:04Sami Zayn is down.
20:05Solo Sokoa is down.
20:07One of these two will be the sole survivor on Survivor Series Eve.
20:15As we prepare for war games.
20:16This is the unpredictability.
20:18This is the excitement that made the traditional Survivor Series matchups
20:23so great each and every year.
20:26And Sami Zayn and Solo now, exchanging players in the center of the ring.
20:31One, two, three, four, five, six, six, six, six.
20:40What a headbutt.
20:44Good Lord.
20:47Sami has no idea where he is, does he?
20:51I guess he does.
20:52Sami!
20:54Explore a suplex!
20:56He's gonna do it, isn't he?
21:01Yeah, he is.
21:03Sami's gonna do it.
21:04He was down.
21:05He was the lone man on his team against three members of the MFPs.
21:08And now Sami went for the haluma kick, ran into a super kick.
21:12Swept on the spike.
21:18Sami pulls him up.
21:20And Solo, did he kick out?
21:21Solo kicked.
21:23He did, and now the spike to Zayn from out of nowhere.
21:27And Solo Sokoa is your sole survivor.
21:33Here is your winner, Solo Sokoa!
21:40Solo the sole survivor tonight, Monday night on Raw.
21:43An opportunity versus Gunther in the semifinals of the last time is now tournament.
21:49It could be a tremendous weekend for Solo Sokoa.
