00:00Trump lobs threats at Clinton, other prominent Democrats.
00:04President Donald Trump escalated attacks over newly resurfaced Jeffrey Epstein details,
00:09threatening DOJ and FBI probes into Democratic-aligned figures amid the shutdown fight.
00:15Trump wrote that he would ask AG Pam Bondi, the Department of Justice,
00:19and the FBI to investigate Epstein's relationships with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers,
00:25Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, and Chase.
00:27This is another Russia, Russia, Russia scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats.
00:33Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their lives with Epstein,
00:38and on his island. Stay tuned, he added.
00:41The remarks came after the House Oversight Committee released documents from the Epstein case,
00:46some of which included references to Trump.
00:49The president reacted furiously, insisting,
00:51The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein hoax again,
00:55because they'll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they've done on the shutdown,
00:59and so many other subjects.
01:01He warned Republicans not to be very bad or stupid by engaging with the matter.
01:06Only a very bad or stupid Republican would fall into that trap.
01:10The Democrats cost our country $1.5 trillion,
01:13with their recent antics of viciously closing our country,
01:17while at the same time putting many at risk,
01:19and they should pay a fair price.
01:21There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else,
01:24and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our country
01:28and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats,
01:32Trump told his 11.1 million followers on Truth Social.
01:36Trump's intensifying rhetoric came just days after he hosted JPMorgan Chase,
01:41CEO Jamie Dimon, for dinner at the White House.
01:44His threats also carry weight,
01:46given the DOJ's ongoing prosecutions of several Trump critics,
01:50including John Bolton and Letitia James.
