00:00The Chiefs, Jets, and Taylor Swift drove big numbers for NBC on Sunday night.
00:05The network's Sunday Night Football, or as some were calling it,
00:08Swifty Night Football telecast of the Chiefs-Jets game scored its biggest audience of the season,
00:14averaging nearly 26.7 million viewers across all platforms. A spike in women viewers,
00:19possibly driven by superstar singer-songwriter Swift's presence at the game, helped drive the
00:24increase. Per NBC, viewing among girls 12-17 grew 53% Sunday over the first three Sunday night
00:30football broadcasts this season. Plus, viewing among women 18-24 was up 24%, and viewing among
00:37women over 35 was up 34%. This marked the second week in a row that Swift, who's been linked to
00:42Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelsey, attended a Chiefs game. NBC's cameras showed Swift in a box
00:48at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey as she took in the football game with her friends and fellow stars
00:53Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The NBC telecast averaged 24.83 million viewers,
00:59a 19% improvement compared with the same week last year. The TV-only audience was NBC's best of the
01:05season, but the cross-platform viewership fell a little shy of the season opener's 27.5 million
01:10viewers. Streaming on Peacock, NBC Sports, and NFL digital platforms accounted for 1.85 million viewers,
01:17which NBC says is its largest streaming audience ever for a regular season Sunday NFL game.
01:23The cross-platform total is up 22% from the all-in tally a year ago.
