A pack of wolves chased a bear away from a meal by constantly biting at its behind.

Scott Brovsky was watching a grizzly bear feeding on a bison carcass in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA, when its feast was interrupted.

Dramatic footage captured the moment six wolves surrounded the bear, nipping at his bum as they chased it away from the prized dinner.

The bear turned to defend itself but was quickly surrounded by the pack, who eventually fed on the bison.

Scott said: “My reaction was one of amazement and excitement, feeling privileged to see this event unfold between the wolves and the grizzly.

“There were six wolves from the 8 Mile wolf pack directly interacting with the grizzly and another seven in the area from the same pack.

“The grizzly is one of the larger males in the park. He has a scarred up face and is missing one of his ears from previous fights.

“This fight ended with the grizzly running up to the mountainside above the carcass and the wolves returning to feed on the bison carcass.”
