Christopher Walken has nabbed the plum role of Emperor Shaddam IV in ‘Dune: Par Two.’

00:00Christopher Walken has joined the star-studded cast of Dune Part 2.
00:03Returning actors from the first film released in 2021 include
00:07Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem, among others.

00:23The story resumes where the first one left off, with Paul Atreides, played by Chalamet,
00:27fighting alongside the Fremen to free the desert planet of Arrakis from the grips of
00:31House Harkonnen. Shooting is set to begin this summer in Budapest. Walken will portray Emperor
00:36Shaddam IV, the ruler of the known universe, who initially sends the Atreides family to
00:41Arrakis in order to cause their downfall. Other newcomers include Florence Pugh and Austin Butler.
00:46As for Walken, the Oscar-winning actor is coming off co-starring in the Apple TV Plus thriller
00:51Severance. The first season debuted earlier this year, and it has been renewed for a second season.
