In an April 2000 episode of 'Saturday Night Life,' a sketch starring host Christopher Walken would become a pop-culture staple with an iconic, often repeated line: "More cowbell."

00:00That cowbell sketch is one of Saturday Night Live's most beloved and iconic moments over the years,

00:12but Christopher Walken apparently told Will Ferrell that it ruined his life.

00:16When Ferrell stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday,

00:19the pair of SNL alums reflected on doing the sketch together back in the year 2000,

00:24with Ferrell revealing Walken had some choice words for the comedian later when he went to see him in a play.

00:29And he's like, you know, you've ruined my life.

00:34People during the curtain call bring cowbells and ring them.

00:41Walken also told Ferrell about how the sketch had changed his everyday life.

00:45The other day I went for an Italian food lunch and the waiter asked if I wanted more cowbell with my pasta bolognese.

00:57Ferrell continued, I think he was really mad at me. He had a little smile.
