The singer and actress, who starred alongside Jennifer Stone and David Henrie, on the hit Disney Channel show, said she “felt safe" with the cast and "ashamed" of past decisions.

00:04Selena Gomez is getting candid about her biggest regrets since her Disney days.
00:09The actress starred as Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place,
00:12the Disney Channel show that kick-started her career from 2007 to 2012.
00:17On Monday's episode of the Wizards of Waverly pod with Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise,
00:22the singer said her biggest mistake so far was not staying in touch with her co-stars from the series.
00:27I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made, and I didn't want you guys to see me in the state that I was in.
00:36Because A, you would have told me the truth, which terrifies me, and B, I didn't want to let you down.
00:43Stone also admitted to feeling like she was a factor in their friendship falling off.
00:48To be perfectly blunt, like, you know, there has been times where I'm like,
00:51did she, like, did we stop being friends because I didn't tell her what she wanted to hear?
00:56You know what I mean?
00:57Gomez added,
00:58I appreciate you guys dearly, and I love you so much in a way that I've never loved anybody else.
01:04Throughout the years, the star has been open about her mental health struggles in the industry,
01:08and even released a documentary last year, Selena Gomez, My Mind and Me,
01:12which chronicles her mental health journey.
01:15During her time on Wizards of Waverly Place, the actress said she felt safe.
01:18You guys genuinely loved me, and that's all I could have asked for, the unconditional trust and bond we had.
