00:00I got to watch the first episode, and seeing you two on screen together, honestly, was just pure magic.
00:05What was it like sharing those scenes together again and getting to return to these two roles?
00:10It felt like pure magic.
00:12It did feel like going home.
00:14You know, it was so funny because when I showed it to my mom, she literally just died laughing.
00:20She said, you two, yeah, she goes, you two just still have it.
00:24Oh, she said that?
00:24Yes, because I think we bring out that, we bring that out in each other.
00:30We've always just a second it's action.
00:32We're just like playing ping pong.
00:33It's just fun.
00:34So this has all been very wonderful.
00:37I'm happy your mom said that.
00:38That means a lot.
00:39Oh, it's so sweet.
00:39She's here.
00:40Oh, good.
00:41Good.
00:41I want to see her.
00:42You still have that brother and sister dynamic going on on screen.
00:45That's very much accurate.
00:47A hundred percent.
00:48There's some really touching moments that harken back right to the original show in a very sentimental way.
00:53But also in real life, it's like, I feel like you're very protective of me.
00:58And it's very, yeah.
01:00We're very, I'm always like, so what's, what's going on?
01:03I'm a little like, I got to stir the pot a little.
01:07Yes.
01:08What is it?
01:08It's a bit exciting.
01:09What has it been like also being executive producers and sort of shepherding and leading these young actors and making sure that they have a positive experience on the show?
01:18I mean, we've both, we've both been doing this for a long time.
01:21And I think we seek to bring our best experiences forward when we're working with young people, especially kids.
01:25So for me, it's like very much on the forefront of my mind to help enable an atmosphere that makes them the best that they can be in that moment.
01:32And it's been wonderful.
01:33It's been wonderful.
01:34They really, we cast some really talented kids and they've just gotten better and better and better and better.
01:38Yeah, and I think the only thing I can provide is the love and support that they're going to need during this time because hopefully it's a life-changing experience.
01:48For both of you, when you first walked on set and were back in the Russo family lair for the first time, what was going through your mind?
01:54A lot.
01:57I mean, it's just memories.
01:59It was so emotional, but it was also, that's where we started every show in front of a live audience.
02:04And that's where we'd leave.
02:06So it was so weird.
02:07It's crazy.
02:08Yeah, it's hard to put to words, but very meaningful.
02:11All those feelings come back, you didn't know were still there, like kid-like feelings.
02:15And yeah, it was wonderful.
02:17And I love seeing that the two of you are still friends all these years later.
02:20I feel like that's really rare of people who were on Disney Channel during your era.
02:24What does your guys' friendship mean to each other?
02:25I think for me, it's so important that I have someone in my life that knew me before.
02:32You know, most of my friends are definitely people that I've learned to love and trust.
02:38But David was there the first time I ever experienced any sort of fame-like things.
02:44And I think he saw and continues to see through that.
02:49And he'll tell me the truth, and I like that.
02:52Yeah.
02:53Yeah.
02:53No, we've been friends a long time.
02:55And when you're friends before big events happen, I think there's that meaningful memory that you know of one another.
03:01And she knows I'll shoot her straight.
03:02He stuck with me, so...
03:04He's like, I'm not going to be friends.
03:06I'm not going to be friends.
