00:14A little more than two minutes long, the preview shows the classic story of forbidden love between Tony, played by Ansel Elgort, and Maria, played by Rachel Zegler.

00:27Although the movie is an adaptation of the 1961 Oscar-winning musical film, Spielberg's version is not a shot-for-shot copy,
00:35but the bold, stylish trailer showcasing new scenes and some different dialogue.
00:39Elsewhere, Rita Moreno, who won an Oscar for her performance in the original film, also appears in the remake.
00:45The 20th century film wrapped in October of 2019, but has been awaiting release after being delayed a few times due to the pandemic.
