00:08Here are today's top stories.
00:09Netflix just gave us our first look at Ryan Murphy's new series, Hollywood,
00:13which arrives on the streamer on May 1st.
00:15The new photos give fans a sneak peek at stars Jeremy Pope, Darren Criss,
00:19Patti LuPone, Dylan McDermott, Holland Taylor, Samara Weaving, Jim Parsons, and more.
00:25Each character is said to offer a unique glimpse behind the gilded curtain of Hollywood's
00:30golden age, spotlighting the unfair systems and biases across race, gender, and sexuality
00:35that continue today.
00:36The provocative series exposes and examines decades-old power dynamics
00:40and what the entertainment landscape might look like if they'd been dismantled.
00:43Next, The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Tiger King directors Eric Good and Rebecca Chaiklin
00:47about the burning questions surrounding the Netflix series that has everyone talking.
00:52First, has the Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic, watched the show?
00:55Since he's currently serving 22 years in prison for ordering a hit on his nemesis,
00:59Florida Tiger Sanctuary owner Carol Baskin, the directors say no, he hasn't.
01:04But according to Chaiklin, if the docuseries were made into a scripted movie or TV show,
01:08Joe would like Brad Pitt or David Spade to play him.
01:12She added, he doesn't refer to David Spade as David Spade.
01:15He refers to him as Joe Dirt.
01:16She's a plain-out hypocrite. She literally does everything that I do.
01:20As for Joe Exotic's husband, Dylan Passage, he recently spoke with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM's Radio Andy
01:26and said that the former zoo owner has been placed in COVID-19 isolation.
01:30According to his husband, Exotic is not necessarily thought to be infected,
01:33but since he recently transferred from a prison with multiple cases, he was placed in isolation for safety.
01:39Passage revealed that he still talks to Joe and speaks to him about three or five times every day.
01:43I do love Joe. He's been there for me through my darkest times, you know, and I'm not just gonna dip out and abandon him.
01:52Finally, the release of Top Gun Maverick has officially been pushed back from late June to Christmas 2020 amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
02:00The long-awaited Top Gun sequel from Paramount, which was originally set to hit theaters in North America on June 24, will now be released on December 23.
