The death toll from recent floods and landslides across three provinces on Indonesia's Sumatra Island has risen to 502, with 508 missing.

In a statement on Monday (Dec 1), Wisma Putra said the Malaysian Consulate General in Medan received reports from the public regarding three Malaysian tourists who have been uncontactable since Nov 27.

It also said search operations are ongoing for a 30-year-old Malaysian man whose vehicle was caught in a landslide in Padang Panjang.
