00:04The movie centers on a love triangle involving Zendaya's character Tashi Duncan, Art, played
00:09by Mike Feist, and Patrick, played by Josh O'Connor.
00:12While the project is a tennis film, the romantic tension between the characters is at the heart
00:16of the movie.
00:17Zendaya said this about shooting the movie's romantic scenes to THR Roma at the film's
00:21Italian premiere.
00:22Well, we did have an intimacy coordinator who was fantastic and very helpful and I think
00:27the most important thing is feeling safe.
00:28She went on to detail how she and her cast mates worked to feel at ease around each other
00:32while shooting those intimate scenes.
00:34I think just having conversations with my fellow actors and making sure we all felt comfortable
00:38with each other.
00:39We had tennis training together, we worked out together, we did rehearsals together, so lots
00:43of time to bond and feel comfortable and safe.
00:46Feist echoed those sentiments.
00:48We spent a lot of time together in rehearsals, both Zendaya and Josh and myself, so we got
00:55to know each other as people before, you know, just diving into the works.
01:00So we got very familiar with each other as humans and we got comfortable and we created
01:05a good friendship for that kind of baseline security.
01:09Challengers, its theaters on April 26th in the U.S.
