00:00But is it helpful to have these actors sort of know where they're going, or is it helpful to have them in the dark?
00:06What's your sort of take on that, Lisa?
00:08You know, I think it depends, and I think it depends on the part that they're playing.
00:12And so for Westworld, we had a kind of embedded timeline, right, where William was the man in black.
00:19And so you're seeing him as a young man, and you're also seeing him as an older man.
00:23And for us, we just thought, well, what's the point in telling Jimmy Simpson, who's William, that he's going to be this guy?
00:28Like, just let him play this part.
00:31But on the other hand, for somebody like Jeffrey Wright's character, he's playing two people, basically.
00:35Arnold and then the robot version of Arnold Bernard.
00:39And each one, he's such a gifted actor, in order to kind of modulate his performance, we would tell him, okay, now this is you in this timeline, and this is different.
00:48So, case by case.
00:49And will season two, is it something, again, that you will keep certain characters in the dark?
00:53I will also tell you on a need-to-know basis.
