00:00Welcome. Thank you. How does it feel to be here? Oh, it feels so amazing to be here.
00:12Doing the whole Emmy circuit? Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, like, I've been at the Emmys before,
00:17but not like this. So this is amazing. If you had to fill in the blank, the Emmys are
00:22dot, dot, dot. What would you say? Um, this is really putting me on the spot.
00:28I feel like I'm just going to say something super cliche. Fantastic. Yeah, I don't know.
00:34That's bad. Nothing you'd expect. Nothing that looks like it is on TV. It's a magical night.
00:40Well, and you're in this show called Handmaid's Tale on Hulu. I am.
00:43Don't know if you've heard of it, but it came out of the gate and it was a huge hit. And it sort of
00:49hit this place in culture immediately. What was it like to be a part of a show that had that cultural
00:56resonance? Yeah. I mean, like, to be honest, I have been very blessed to be part of two different
01:01shows that have sort of hit the public consciousness in the way that I never thought would. Um,
01:07when you're making a show, it's so much in a bubble. Uh, everyone thinks it's really good,
01:12but who knows, you know? And, um, I'm just so happy that the work and the diligence that we put in
01:18in this show is showing to a lot of people that are seeing it. And I'm so happy that it's as
01:24politically relevant as it is, even though it's a little scary.
01:29A little bit. Yeah. Yeah. And also in Orange is the New Black, you know, you, you left the,
01:33the, the, the show sadly because you're, um, you know, there were some things that happened with
01:37your character that are spoilers. Yeah. But what was it like to have to, you know,
01:42say goodbye to that, that family that you've been with for years?
01:45Gosh. I mean, like that was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my career. I had
01:48been with those ladies for four years and they're my sisters and that's never going away, but not
01:53being able to be on set with them, it, it hurts, you know, to like see them doing things without me,
02:01but it's, it's, it's nice to be on a different show and to have something to,
02:05to look forward to in that way as well. Well, on Sunday, Stephen Colbert is going to host the Amies.
02:10Curious. Do you have any advice for him? Uh, for Stephen? Oh yeah. Yep.
02:14Don't F it up. No pressure. Just don't mix up those envelopes. No, no, no. Don't F it up, man.
02:23Well, great. We'll be rooting for you and everything. Enjoy your night.
