00:00Florence is a force.
00:03Things got wild at the Venice Film Festival
00:05with the cast of Don't Worry Darling.
00:07Director Olivia Wilde did her best to dodge questions
00:09about the scandals that have hit her feature film
00:11with some significant help from the festival itself.
00:14Right at the end of the film's press conference,
00:16Wilde was asked about the absence of her lead star,
00:19Florence Pugh, and rumors of discord on set.
00:21Pugh reportedly missed the press conference
00:23due to shooting Dune 2 in Budapest,
00:25but it's worth noting that didn't stop
00:27Timothee Chalamet from doing the full press schedule in Venice.
00:30Wilde began by speaking enthusiastically about Pugh
00:32and describing her as a force,
00:34as well as noting her commitments on Dune 2.
00:36I can't say enough how honored I am to have her as our lead.
00:39She's amazing in the film.
00:41She went on to say this.
00:42As for all the endless tabloid gossip
00:46and all the noise out there,
00:47I mean, the internet feeds itself.
00:49I don't feel the need to contribute.
00:50I think it's sufficiently well-nourished.
00:52The Hollywood Reporter then attempted
00:54to ask about Shia LaBeouf,
00:55the actor Harry Styles replaced in the project,
00:58only for the moderator to shut it down,
01:00claiming that Wilde had already answered that
01:02in relation to, quote, internet noise.
01:04The film recently made headlines
01:05when Wilde claimed she fired LaBeouf from the project.
01:08The actor then spoke out,
01:10asserting that he quit,
01:11and leaking text messages and a video from Wilde,
01:14he says, proved that point.
01:15Pugh did appear with the film's cast
01:17on the red carpet in Venice
01:18and at the premiere screening.
