Transcript
00:00How does it feel to be here tonight with Poor Things and as a nominee?
00:03It feels very surprising and exciting, I think.
00:07Yeah, it's kind of a crazy movie, but we're just excited people like it, you know?
00:13Why do you think Yorgos and Emma Stone make such a great collaborative pair?
00:17I think they're like, they just have very similar sensibility.
00:22And Yorgos, you know, brings people together.
00:25That's sort of what he does.
00:26And I just think those two met on the favorite and they really hit it off.
00:30And they just power each other up creatively.
00:32And it's, you know, it's great to be part of.
00:35Now, you came together with other screenwriters for our Writers' Roundtable.
00:39What was it like having that conversation and being a part of that?
00:42It was so good because writers don't often meet.
00:44We're locked in our rooms.
00:45We're not allowed to leave.
00:46People just give us sandwiches and make, deliver scripts.
00:50But I met Eric Roth.
00:51He's been nominated for an Oscar like seven times.
00:53And he's been written some of the best movies ever.
00:56So that was personally incredibly exciting for me.
00:59Now, Elle is also nominated tonight for The Great, your show.
01:03What does it mean for her to receive that nomination for the final season?
01:05Oh, I think we were so excited for her.
01:08She's done an amazing job on the show.
01:10And it was just like a nice cherry on top of our end of our last season that she's being recognized for her incredible work.
01:18And for you also, you're working on Cruella 2, correct?
01:21I believe it's in the works.
01:22Can you tease what might be in the works or when we can expect anything or where you are in the process?
01:28I expect Emma Stone to be Cruella.
01:31And that's all I know.
01:33And you've worked on now a few movies that Emma Stone has starred in.
01:37What do you think makes her such an amazing lead actress?
01:39I think she's just got it all.
01:40She's just kind of the funniest actress and she's a brilliant, dramatic actress.
01:45And, you know, she's just got a way on screen that, like, a few people before her.
01:49I just think, you know, and she's a great artist.
01:51She's courageous, brave, and will kind of try anything as our movie shows.
01:56She's a great artist.
