00:12Ferrari, Napoleon, and Origin were all completely shut out, failing to receive any nominations.
00:19Similarly, other awards' hopeful films didn't fare as well as expected during Monday's nominations.
00:24Priscilla and All of Us Strangers each only earned one nomination.
00:27The Globes only doled out two nods for The Color Purple, which missed out on a Best Picture, Musical, or Comedy nod,
00:33and Saltburn, with the film missing out on the top category of Best Motion Picture Drama as well as Best Screenplay.
00:39American Fiction also only scored two nods, missing out on expected nominations in the Supporting, Director, and Screenplay categories.
00:46On the TV side, hit-limited series Swarm was surprisingly shut out, as were the well-received drama Silo and Reservation Dogs.
00:53Similarly, acclaimed shows Shrinking and Yellow Jackets only received one nomination each.
00:58In terms of surprises, the new category recognizing cinematic and box office achievement included Taylor Swift's The Heirist Tour,
01:05which was a bit unexpected given that it's a concert film.
01:08Other surprises among the film nominees include a Best Actress nod for Alma Postie for Fallen Leaves,
01:13The Boy and the Heron landing a Best Score nod,
01:16and Bruce Springsteen breaking into the Best Song category for his composition for the indie film She Came to Me.
