Transcript
00:00Here a little presenting, less pressure.
00:02Yeah, way less pressure.
00:04But also if you're on the other side of it, there's no pressure too.
00:06It's like you're around a creative group of people that are excited to celebrate one another.
00:12So you just kind of show up and smile and have a good time.
00:15Do you give any input on the script or are there some jokes?
00:19What's the vibe?
00:20You can.
00:21I mean, I'm best documentary, so I kind of want to like, you know, a little more, a little more serious.
00:26But also recognize these amazing filmmakers that are giving a voice to stories that we should all be familiar with, you know?
00:33And you have been to many award shows, been nominated at a few.
00:38What vibe do you like from a host and from a show when you sit through something?
00:43I think these things are usually long, and not all of them you're getting fed.
00:48So I think bringing snacks and also just, you know, a little bit of levity, a little bit of lightness, not too much, like pace.
00:56I think that's what you want to see from an award showing from a host.
00:59And I hear you're leaving here and getting on a plane to go promote this Russell Crowe movie.
01:04Tell me about working with Russell Crowe.
01:07Working with Russell Crowe is not the experience you'd think, only because our storylines never crossed.
01:12So he, Russell plays a drone pilot who's giving overwatch to my Special Forces team on the ground during an operation, a hostage recovery, reconnaissance mission.
01:22We got Liam Hemsworth attached to my unit, and things kind of go wrong, and Russell has to get Liam out of a bad situation in some really, really hostile land.
01:32Yeah, military action pick, super tight, super fun.
01:36And then where do you go after that?
01:38What's next?
01:39Not sure.
01:41Yeah, I'm back in the office developing, figuring out what I want to do in television, but looking at some movies.
01:46I don't know, just kind of enjoying life.
01:47Enjoying a little bit of married life.
01:49Forgive me.
01:49Hey, congratulations.
01:50I haven't seen you since you're a newlywed.
01:51How's married life?
01:52Wonderful.
01:53It's wonderful.
01:54And then can I ask you, as somebody who is producing and writing, and you do a little bit of everything, I mean, you know, yesterday, Fran Drescher was talking during the SAG Awards just about the threat that still looms because of AI.
02:05I mean, how worried are you about what the business could look like in a few months slash years?
02:10I mean, I think artists should definitely be aware, but understand that technical progression is going to happen, you know?
02:19So I think if we can't adapt and we can't find community and a way to not just insulate ourselves within our own Screen Actors Guild, but work with the community of Hollywood and also just the greater world that's going to be changing, we should focus on that.
