Transcript
00:00Monday was abuzz with the news that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh had been accused
00:04of sexual misconduct by a second woman after an expose by Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer was
00:09published on The New Yorker's website Sunday night. In addition to the allegations already
00:13made by Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez alleges that while she attended Yale University
00:18with Kavanaugh, he exposed himself at a dorm party where alcohol was present, put his penis
00:22in her face, and then, as she pushed him away, caused her to touch it without her consent.
00:26On Monday night, the late night host addressed the latest allegation and took aim at Kavanaugh
00:31and his supporter, President Donald Trump. On CBS's Late Show, Stephen Colbert referred
00:35to Kavanaugh and joked that the details of the new allegations are surprising considering
00:39that the alleged incident took place at Yale.
00:41You expect that kind of thing at Dartmouth, but Yale? At least, please, tell me his penis
00:46was wearing a bowtie. I just...
00:48Colbert also referenced part of Ramirez's claim in which she said she recalls someone yelling,
00:52Brett Kavanaugh just put his penis in Debbie's face.
00:55And a little further down the hall, a 50-year-old Chuck Grassley yelled,
00:59Get that man on the Supreme Court!
01:01The Hossein brought up Kavanaugh's revelation that he had kept calendars from the summer of
01:061982, which he intends to hand over to the Senate Judiciary Committee, and his insistence that
01:11the calendars do not indicate the party Ramirez claims the incident took place at.
01:15He kept a calendar in high school, and we have obtained a copy. I believe it was the 1982
01:21Alibi of the Day calendar.
01:23Over at NBC's Late Night, Seth Meyers made fun of Trump's declaration during a rally on Friday
01:29that Kavanaugh was born for the position.
01:31What position? Surprise villain in a Law & Order episode?
01:36During his Closer Look segment, Meyers argued that because Trump didn't wake up at 5 a.m.
01:41to scream tweet in all caps, the president was lavish with praise by the media.
01:45After throwing to clips of CNN reporters discussing Trump's aides being surprised by his restraint,
01:50Meyers argued that it was all an act.
01:52How can you keep falling for this restrained Trump act after three years?
01:57You guys are like a monkey watching a magic trick.
02:00Over at Comedy Central's The Daily Show, Trevor Noah was quick to question
02:03why it's still common for men to act out during parties.
02:06I don't understand why guys are still whipping out dicks.
02:08I mean I know this happened a long time ago, but that's my point.
02:11Like why are guys whipping out dicks?
02:12No party has ever been made better by a dick being whipped out.
02:15Noah explained that he understands that some people like Kavanaugh because he's a conservative
02:19judge who looks like a guy who gives postage stamps on Christmas,
02:23but argued that the public can't ignore his former roommate siding with his accusers.
02:28Those also argue that Republicans are attempting to normalize sexual assault
02:31in order to have a conservative justice on the Supreme Court.
02:35On TBS's Conan, Conan O'Brien also poked fun at Kavanaugh and Trump, saying
02:39a second woman has come forward to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
02:44For those of you keeping track, 13 more in Kavanaugh can run for president.
02:48And on ABC's Live, Jimmy Kimmel also mentioned Kavanaugh's calendar, saying
02:51what 17-year-old kept calendars of his social engagements? No wonder he was a virgin.
02:56Earlier on Monday, Kavanaugh gave his first televised interview on Martha McCallum's story on Fox News.
03:02Addressing both allegations, Kavanaugh said he never did any such thing and if he had,
03:06it would have been the talk of campus.
03:08I'm not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process, he said.
03:12We're looking for a fair process where I could be heard and defend my integrity,
03:16my lifelong record of promoting dignity and equality for women,
03:19starting with the women who knew me when I was 14 years old.
03:24I'm not going anywhere.
