Two days after the death of 38-year-old Deepti Chaurasia — daughter-in-law of pan masala baron Kamal Kishore — Delhi Police has booked her husband Arpit and her mother-in-law.

00:09Vasanthvihar home has triggered a full-blown police investigation.

00:12Deepti was married into the Charasya family known for the Panmasala business empire,

00:16one of the most recognizable names in the industry.

00:19She'd been married to Arpit Charasya since December 2010.

00:22According to her family, the marriage had been troubled for years.

00:30On 25th November, police say Deepti was found hanging in the dressing room of the house.

00:40She was rushed to the hospital but declared dead on arrival.

00:43In the FIR, her mother alleges that Deepti had recently confronted her husband about suspected

00:47infidelity and that both he and the mother-in-law reacted violently during arguments.

00:54A diary recovered from the room reportedly mentions relationship issues and emotional abuse.

01:00Police are examining whether those entries point to sustained harassment.
