Jovan Adepo spoke with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet of the 'Babylon' movie premiere.
Transcript
00:00So what did you think when you first read the script?
00:04I couldn't even put it into words. I think I had to read it a few times to really figure out what I wanted to say the first time I spoke to Damien.
00:10But it was madness and it was incredibly ambitious.
00:13But if anybody was going to be able to bring this to the screen, it was going to be this guy right here, Damien.
00:18And a lot of crazy stuff happens in this movie. What was kind of your craziest day on set?
00:22My craziest day on set was probably the opening sequence.
00:25It was also one of my favorites because it was the one scene or one of the few scenes that all of the cast was together.
00:30So it was really cool to kind of spend what felt like close to two weeks.
00:35It was really cool to kind of spend all that time with all of the actors and really dedicate ourselves to working hard for this film and working hard for Damien.
00:42And what did you think watching the film for the first time?
00:44Again, it was one of those things, the same thing like with reading it that you're like,
00:48okay, I need to go back and revisit this bad boy and watch it again.
00:51There's so much going on. It's really high stimulation, but you know that you're watching something legendary
00:56and it just makes you really proud to be a part of it.
00:58Three hours, that's no joke.
01:00That's always a good indicator of a good storyteller.
01:04Thank you so much.
01:05Of course. Thank you. I appreciate that.
