Amazon Studios dropped the full-length trailer for its coming-of-age drama 'The Tender Bar,' directed by George Clooney.

00:06The trailer for George Clooney's new film starring Ben Affleck and Ty Sheridan titled The Tender Bar is here.

00:14Today my nephew is officially a man.

00:18The coming of age drama directed by Clooney is based on the memoir of the same name by J.R. Moringer.

00:23The movie tells Moringer's story of growing up on Long Island as he's raised by a single mom and his uncle Charlie,

00:29portrayed by Affleck, who works as a bartender.

00:32Okay, two rules.

00:34I'm never gonna let you in.

00:39And I'm gonna always tell you the truth.

00:40Your father is a deadbeat.

00:42Lily Ray plays the boy's mother in the film.

00:44The trailer also shows him developing a love for reading and writing.

00:47I saw you in the yard playing sports.

00:50You're gonna find some other activities.

00:55Maybe.

00:57The clip then transitions to show his life as a teenager, now played by Sheridan, as he attends Yale in the 1980s.

01:13The film's screenplay was written by Academy Award winner William Monaghan of The Departed.

01:28The tender bar will be shown in select theaters starting December 17th before hitting Amazon Prime Video on January 7th.
