Transcript
00:00Let me paint a picture for you. It's a chilly October night in the early 2000s,
00:04and you're curled up on the couch with the fam, ready to watch the premiere of Halloweentown 2,
00:08Calabar's Revenge. Does that bring back memories? If so, here are five nostalgic
00:13Disney Channel original Halloween movies that you can stream right now on Disney+.
00:17Up first is Don't Look Under the Bed. 90s kids will remember this slightly scary fantasy horror
00:25flick that sees a teen who is skeptical of the supernatural come in contact with a prankster
00:29boogeyman hiding under her bed. The film premiered on Disney Channel in 1999.
00:44Next on the list is Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire. The horror comedy, which debuted in the year 2000,
00:50stars a cast of familiar faces and tells the story of the Hanson kids. Their relief over their mom
00:54finally getting out of the house is short-lived when they start to suspect that her date is a vampire.
00:59Speaking of familiar faces, Twitch's stars Tia and Tamara Mowry as twin witches who were separated
01:05at birth and reunited as teens. The film premiered on Disney Channel in 2005, followed by the sequel,
01:11Twitch's 2, two years later in 2007.
01:13This may sound spooky, but it's kind of like I've been here before.
01:19One Disney Halloween film you may have forgotten about is Phantom of the Megaplex. Loosely based on the
01:24Phantom of the Opera, the movie follows a 17-year-old assistant manager at a movie theater, Megaplex.
01:30The film, which debuted in the year 2000, sees him deal with mysterious issues that threaten to
01:34sabotage the opening night of a major movie at his theater. And this list wouldn't be complete
01:38without mentioning the 1998 family comedy, Halloween Town. The movie stars Debbie Reynolds and
01:44sees her character's granddaughter, 13-year-old Marnie, played by Kimberly J. Brown, find out that she's a
01:49witch on Halloween. She's then transported to a magical land called Halloween Town, filled with
01:54ghosts, goblins, and ghouls. The movie spawned three sequels, Halloween Town 2, Calabar's Revenge,
01:59Halloween Town High, and Return to Halloween Town.
02:02So that's what this is about. Revenge.
02:06Just say the word, and I'll open up the portal.
