Hundreds of Father Christmas’ took to the streets of the seaside town of Tenby this morning for the annual fundraising ‘Santa Run’ The fun run is quite a sight for the seaside town, with hundreds of entrants taking to the streets dressed as Santa , and a route that takes in spectacular views of Tenby’s harbour and beaches. The event organised by Tenby Round Table kicked off at 11am from outside the grounds at St Mary’s Church, befoe the flurry of Father Christmas’ headed through the town centre and around the coastal resort. The fundraiser is a precursor to the town’s Christmas lights switch-on today (November 29), where at around 4.45pm, the real Santa will arrive with a little help from Tenby RNLI in time to turn on the Christmas tree lights outside St Mary’s Church at 5pm, before making his way to his grotto assisted by Tenby’s Fire Crew.
