Travel disruption: Thousands of Airbus planes grounded after faulty software detected

Airlines have been forced to ground thousands of Airbus planes following a software problem possibly linked to an aircraft's sudden loss of altitude last month.

00:00Thousands of passengers worldwide are being affected by flight delays and cancellations
00:06following the forced grounding of Airbus's A320 planes.
00:11Around 6,000 A320 aircrafts are thought to be affected by a software problem.
00:18ANA Airlines was forced to cancel 95 flights scheduled on Saturday, affecting some 13,200 travelers.
00:26Passengers in Tokyo and the Philippines have also reported delays and cancellations.
00:32An investigation into an incident in October found that solar radiation could interfere with flight controls.
00:40Many of the planes were able to fly again within hours after undergoing a software update.
00:46However, 900 older aircrafts across other airlines must have their onboard computers replaced before carrying passengers again.
00:54The incident in October left at least 15 people injured.
