On Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M Appavu's statement, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan said, '... Why are they criticising our Governor in a derogatory way?... The Speaker is supposed to be a neutral person... The way he spoke about our Governor is unacceptable... How can they say equalise Constitutional authority with terrorist activities?... This is the pattern of DMK. They themselves express their anti-national mindset. This is the same party that was once appealing for a separate state... The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is also saying, in a different way, that they will control the Governor's words. How can he say that?... It is not the Tamil culture to degrade the people who are all higher authorities and in responsible positions...'
