00:09Trump out on his bluff. Trump has cast numerous aspersions about the election process but has
00:15yet to offer solid evidence of widespread wrongdoing, with one lawsuit after another
00:20failing. Oscar-nominated actor Norton said that although he is not a political pundit,
00:24his father was a federal prosecutor and the actors played enough poker to know, in his opinion,
00:28exactly what Trump is attempting, a concession for a pardon. Norton started his Twitter thread by
00:34saying, I do not think Trump is trying to make his base happy or laying the groundwork for his own
00:38network, or that chaos is what he loves. The core of it is that he knows he's in deep,
00:43multidimensional legal jeopardy, and this defines his every action. We're seeing one, a tactical
00:48delay of the transition to buy time for cover-up and evidence suppression, two, above all, a desperate
00:53endgame, which is to create enough chaos and anxiety about peaceful transfer of power and fear of
00:58irreparable damage to the system that he can cut a Nixon-style deal in exchange for finally
01:03conceding. But he doesn't have the cards. His bluff, after the flop, has been called in court.
01:08Norton furthered the poker metaphor, writing, his turn card bluff will be an escalation and his river
01:13card bluff could be really ugly. But they have to be called. We cannot let this mobster bully the USA
01:19into a deal to save his ass by threatening our democracy. That is his play. But he's got junk in his
01:25hand. So call him. According to Norton, all Trump cares about at this point is saving his own hide,
