Katy Perry wants to be in Beetlejuice 2, the pop star recently voiced Smurfette in both Smurf movies. Tim Burton and Michael Keaton are both developing the project.

00:10Katy Perry just released her latest album, Prism, this week and she's already looking
00:15ahead to her next career move, acting.
00:17Sure, she's made a few cameos on television shows and voiced Smurfette in two animated
00:23Smurfs films, but now she's ready for the big leagues.
00:26During a Q&A session at her concert in LA Wednesday, the pop star revealed that she would love
00:31to make her feature acting debut playing Lydia in Tim Burton's sequel to Beetlejuice, which
00:36is reportedly in the works.
00:38Movie fans should remember that Lydia was the character made famous by Winona Ryder in the
00:42original 1988 film, and we can totally see Katy pulling off this look, can't you?
00:48Aren't you scared?
00:49I'm not scared of sheets.
00:50Are you gross under there?
00:52Are you night of the living dead under there?
00:55Like all bloody veins and pus?
00:57But if that never happens, she still has a backup dream role.
01:01And that's to play android Rachel in a remake of the 1982 sci-fi hit Blade Runner.

01:14In a recent interview with W Magazine, the busy pop star said, quote,
01:18I always say that if Ridley Scott wants to hire me for Blade Runner 2, I am absolutely available.
01:24We hope he's listening.
01:26Neither of these films have officially gotten the green light, but it's not as if Miss Perry
01:30doesn't have enough to do.
01:31She's currently busy traveling to promote the new album, which according to Billboard,
01:35is projected to top the charts in its first week out.
