Don Cheadle reacts to seeing the trailer for 'Secret Invasion' for the first time and what it was like to work with Samuel L. Jackson

00:00What was it like bringing this trailer to D23 today and seeing the fan reaction in the audience?

00:05It's great. Everybody's excited. Everybody's geeked. This is why we show up.

00:09This is one of the things that make it so amazing is not only to get to see,

00:15because this is the most I've seen of Secret Invasion, just standing on the stage with Kevin,

00:18but to get to see all of the different shows and all the different characters

00:22and what they're going to be doing and the potential for how all of these different characters

00:26can work together in the future is really exciting.

00:29Is there anything that made the trailer that you were sort of surprised by

00:32that you thought might stay a secret and they actually put in there?

00:35No, I think they kind of rolled it out the way that they were going to roll it out.

00:40It was advertised, but I hadn't seen, like I said, I hadn't seen all of this stuff put together until now,

00:45so without the special effects and it looks really exciting.

00:50And speaking of secrets, is there anything you can tease?

00:53I know you probably can't say much, but anything you can tease about what we can expect?

00:56That's a Mark Ruffalo question and you're going to have to take that to him.

01:06but I ain't doing it, it ain't going to be me.

01:11For you, what has it been like exploring, you know, more of your character

01:15and also Nick Fury's character in the show?

01:17Well, it was a lot of fun.

01:18You know, I've known Sam for a long time, but we haven't really worked together.

01:21So it was great to have an opportunity to do this together.

01:24And all of my scenes really are with him.

01:26So getting to go head to head with Sam Jackson was a reason to say yes.

01:30Being in the MCU for so long, what's your favorite part about being in this universe?

01:35Well, there's a lot of great things, but the most fun is to look toward what we may still be able to do in the future.

01:45Do you know what I mean?

01:46With my show, with really getting to know Rhodey in a way that we haven't,

01:50even after all this time of knowing him, really sort of getting behind it and finding out what makes him tick

01:55and, you know, what he's scared by, what he's excited by, his love interests, family, you know,

02:01really having an opportunity to flesh the character out is what's most exciting to me.
