00:00LeBron James and Barack Obama react to the NBA players and teams going on strike in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
00:12Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with a big sports update as the NBA teams and players are now on strike for social justice.
00:20This started with the Milwaukee Bucks after they decided not to play game five of the playoffs Wednesday night against the Orlando Magic to protest the police shooting.
00:30After this was announced, the NBA revealed all of Wednesday's playoff games would be postponed.
00:37LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and many other NBA players show their support for the Bucks on Twitter.
00:43Since the announcement, there have been reports claiming the NBA season could come to an early ending.
00:49Apparently after news broke, there was a meeting between players, coaches and referees that did not end well.
00:55NBA insiders claim both the LA Lakers and LA Clippers voted to end the remainder of the season.
01:00LeBron James left the meeting and was followed by the rest of the Lakers and the Clippers.
01:05An ESPN reporter describes the vote more of a polling than an official decision.
01:10Barack Obama said that he commends the NBA players for their protests saying they're setting a great example for the rest of the country.
01:17I'd also like to add that the WNBA has been in the forefront of this strike as well, canceling their games in protest and also wearing shirts with seven bullet holes in to acknowledge the seven times Jacob Blake was shot.
01:32Adding to this, it seems like several NFL teams reportedly canceled practices in solidarity and as a moment of reflection for social injustices happening in our country.
01:41No word yet if NFL players or teams will go forward with a strike as well.
01:46The NBA season will continue with Adrian Wojnarowski reporting that the players have decided to resume the playoffs.
01:55But alright, let me know your thoughts on this in the comments below and you can follow me on social media at Ali Stegnita.
