Top 5 Golden Globes Surprises including a Homeland diss, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Michael B. Jordan and Amy Poehler.

00:00What surprised us about the 2014 Golden Globe nominations?
00:03Our breakdown coming up.
00:06Hey everyone, I'm Brian Corsetti for ENTV and we've got all the details.
00:13The Golden Globes honor the best in TV and film and while some nominations we totally
00:18saw coming, Breaking Bad, 12 Years a Slave, there were also some surprises.
00:24Here are our top five shockers from today's nominations.
00:28Number one, after being completely shut out of the SAG nominations yesterday, Martin Scorsese's
00:34The Wolf of Wall Street finally got some awards season love with the Globes, including Best
00:39Picture Comedy and Best Actor in a Comedy for Leonardo DiCaprio.
00:43We considered this a very pleasant surprise.
00:46Number two, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
00:49For Best Comedy Series, seems like yesterday when stars like Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill and
00:54Bill Hader were predicting the sudden death of Andy Samberg's cop comedy.
00:59Now that he's got his new TV show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which I'm assuming is about this
01:03Brooklyn cop who tried to make it in the movie business but failed and got sent back to TV.
01:08Andy, when the show gets cancelled after five episodes, are you going to do a different
01:12cell phone commercial or are they going to turn Bills into a two-hander for both of you guys?
01:16Sure, it was all jokes, but clearly Andy got the last laugh.
01:19Not only did Brooklyn Nine-Nine get picked up for a full season, but the former SNL star
01:24also got a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy.
01:28So can we finally forgive him for That's My Boy?
01:31Number three, after SAG completely shut out Mad Men this year, we were kind of prepared
01:35to see the Globes do the same.
01:37But what we didn't expect was season-favorite Homeland to disappear from the race completely,
01:41especially after its Triple Globe win earlier this year.
01:45Awkward.
01:46Number four, we know it's been nearly a year since Fruitville Station premiered the
01:49Sundance, so it's understandable that some of its award season buzz has been overshadowed
01:55by flashier newcomers like Dallas Buyers Club.
01:58But that doesn't take away from the film's star, Michael B. Jordan, who should have gotten
02:02some recognition.
02:04So far, SAG and Globes has overlooked the indie flick, but is it possible the Oscars will get
02:09it right?
02:10And at number five, you might remember our comment about Amy Poehler's SAG snub yesterday.
02:15Who was funnier than Amy Poehler on Parks and Rec?
02:18The Globes answered with not one but two nominations for the star's work on NBC's Parks and Rec?
02:24Including Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Comedy.
02:28Now, as we told you guys before, Amy will also be hosting the Golden Globes with Tina Fey
02:33on January 12th on NBC.
02:35I'm Brian Corsetti.
