00:15He was also a style advisor to former First Lady Michelle Obama in 2008.

00:20In May 2020, while discussing the release of his memoir titled The Chiffon Trenches,

00:25He told Time Magazine about the racism that he faced while working in the fashion industry,

00:30and also expressed why it's important for him to talk about his career to the top,

00:36saying, as an African-American man born in the United States of America,

00:40it was important for me to show the building blocks of my story from my childhood to today.
