00:14The former mastermind behind Madonna's many elaborate and sexy concert looks was 73.

00:21He famously asked Diana Ross to grace his runway for his summer collection fashion show,

00:25and she accepted, making his show her first ever runway appearance.

00:30Alongside her daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross.

00:32After designing for over 30 years, in 2003, he retired from creating any more collections,

00:37except when he came out of retirement in 2019 to design Kim Kardashian's iconic Met Gala look.
