00:00I thought, why not me?
00:01That's a big thought.
00:03Maybe I didn't put that exactly the right way.
00:05Why not me?
00:07Okay, so it sounds like a storyline straight out of Curb Your Enthusiasm,
00:11but we promise you it's not.
00:13HBO has pulled a documentary about Larry David from its schedule at his request.
00:19The Larry David story, where David has a wide-ranging conversation
00:22with longtime collaborator Larry Charles,
00:25was set to premiere Tuesday night on HBO.
00:27However, on Monday, HBO Documentaries tweeted that the doc has been postponed,
00:32writing that Larry has decided he wants to do it in front of an audience.
00:36A trailer for the documentary on YouTube was made private Tuesday morning.
00:40It showed snippets of David and Charles' conversation about David's stand-up career,
00:45Seinfeld and Curb, and David reflecting on his luck in the comedy business.
00:49Anything I was associated with that could be successful was a shock.
00:54HBO's logline for the Larry David story says that the documentary
00:57quote, finds a 74-year-old sitting down with friend and director Larry Charles
01:02for a peek behind the proverbial curtain
01:04as David gets candid about his personal and professional highs and lows.
01:09No word on if the film will ever see the light of day
01:11and when David and Charles might redo the interview in front of a crowd.
