00:16Mayer in Desperate Housewives. The actor first solidified her place in Hollywood in the 1990s

00:22when she joined the cast of Lois and Clark as Superman's girlfriend. The series ran from 1993

00:28to 1997 and catapulted Hatcher into stardom. Of her memorable roles, the actor appeared in one

00:34episode of Seinfeld playing on her, quote, sexiest woman persona and making a joke about her chest

00:40with the infamous line, "...and by the way, they're real and they're spectacular."

00:48Hatcher spoke to Viva Magazine in 2014 about her career, admitting,

00:53"...there is not an ironclad moment or an epiphany where I say,

00:56okay, I've figured life out. But from the outside looking in, fans would say otherwise."

01:19fans might be surprised to find out she didn't start on the little screen,

01:23but rather on the sports field. Prior to dominating television,

01:27Hatcher had a national audience as a cheerleader in the NFL. According to TV Overmind,

01:32she was cheering on the San Francisco 49ers back in 1984. Speaking to TMZ in 2014 about that time,

01:40the Desperate Housewives actor revealed that she never got to take home a Super Bowl ring

01:45until years after her stint as a cheerleader. She said,

01:49"...I have it from after I did Lois and Clark. I was friendly with the team and the owners,

01:54and it was from the Super Bowl that was in Miami."

01:56Hatcher is talking about Super Bowl XXIX in 1995, when the San Francisco 49ers beat the Chargers 49-26.

02:16one job she would love to return to is her on-screen role as Susan Mayer on Desperate Housewives.

02:22In an interview with Loose Women, the actor claimed she'd be, quote,

02:25"...the first person to return to the series."

02:28"...I never wanted it to be over. I just, I love those characters."

02:33In the meantime, Hatcher started a new venture, which led to some concerning rumors about her

02:38financial stability. With a past career on the NFL sidelines and her successful television run,

02:44it's no surprise that Hatcher has an estimated net worth of $50 million, according to Celebrity Net

02:50Worth. So why were there rumors floating around about the actor potentially living out of a van?

02:56She told Viva Magazine in 2014,

02:58"...we get to 45 and there's a bit of enticement to feel like you're done. No, you're not. You're

03:04starting anew, so you have to keep your mind and body physically prepared. Okay,

03:08you're no longer young or the prettiest in the classroom, but you have to take care of yourself.

03:14Learn a language. Start a new hobby. Pick up a guitar and learn to play. You can do it."

03:19And what hobby did Hatcher pick up? YouTubing.

03:22After reports surfaced that the actor was out of cash and living out of her van,

03:26Hatcher told KTLA 5 in 2018 that the rumors were false.

03:39"...I am not broke. I have done very well investing my money. I am not homeless,

03:54When you're younger, you can get really hung up on things. I have the opportunity to think about
