Kejayaan YM Puteri Sharifah Ariel Budriah Jamalullail meraih pingat emas dalam acara 'show jumping' bukan sahaja membanggakan kedua ibu bapa, bahkan seluruh rakyat Malaysia. Turut hadir, wanita besi di sebalik atlet ini, bondanya YM Che Puan Temenggong Perlis Datin Seri Diraja Farinawati serta ibu kepada Arissa Audreyna iaitu Puan Azlin Reza Azmi.

Syabas Supermoms!

00:00I think my heartbeat stopped, actually.
00:02I see, if we jump, we jump too.
00:04But the result is normal.
00:07I think now, it's much better than before.
00:10If you've already fallen, you've already gone to the arena.
00:17I think my mom helped me with pressure.
00:20Because since I was very young,
00:22I struggled with pressure.
00:23Like last time, I did international shows.
00:25One little mistake, I would start crying all the time.
00:29But I think, once since my mom,
00:31she really pressured me when I was younger,
00:33I got used to all the pressure now that I'm older.
00:35Because if I show that I'm scared,
00:37she's so scared.
00:38So, I think now, even during jatuh pun,
00:41I don't show that I'm scared.
00:42Are you guys okay?
00:43Can you walk?
00:44Okay, when you walk, you can just bangun.
00:46Yeah, actually, I think two years ago,
00:48me and my mom did base jumping off KL Tower.
00:52And now, she wants to do skydiving.
00:59I started riding when I was nine years old,
01:05but I started actively competing in local competitions
01:10last year in July.
01:12They will always give me motivational comments,
01:15like what I should do properly the next round,
01:19what I did wrong,
01:20and they will always come to watch me train.
01:23and they will always record me right,
01:25so that I could see what I did wrong after.
01:27They've supported me through showing up
01:30to all my trainings,
01:31all my competitions,
01:33and that just shows how much they,
01:35like, care about, like, my passion,
01:38and I think that's what pushed me
01:41to be better in this sport.
01:43I think one of the worst four was in 2021,
01:54where muka dia kena pijak.
01:56So, she had like a horseshoe atas her cheek for a while,
02:00but she still wanted to get up at night.
02:02She still wanted to keep going on the horse.
02:04So, memang,
02:05kita sebagai parents,
02:06we support money that can be able,
02:07money that can be able,
02:08in terms of whether it is financially,
02:10whether it is emotionally,
02:12but this is a passion.
02:13So, a passion inilah,
02:14kita cuba lah,
02:15sedaya upaya kita,
02:16mana yang mampu,
02:17you know, support dia.
02:18I'm proud,
02:19sebab every time,
02:20even association hantar dia,
02:22Federation hantar dia,
02:23Thailand,
02:24Korea,
02:25other country India,
02:27she come back with a result.
02:29She always come with a result.
02:31And she always bring medal.
02:33The podium tu,
02:34memang,
02:35dantangan dia lah basically.
02:36That's why we see,
02:37that had potential there.
02:39And then the father said,
02:41I said,
02:42are you sure you want to push it?
02:43Because it's going to be very expensive and fair.
02:45Because,
02:46if I don't have a sponsor,
02:47then I said,
02:48she likes it,
02:49she loves it.
02:50You know,
02:50the passion is there.
02:51So, let it be.
02:52It is not a cheap spot, definitely.
02:54Even more so,
02:55if you have a kuda,
02:56the cost will be higher.
02:58Right?
02:58But,
02:59you have to be like,
03:00like,
03:01like,
03:02so every month,
03:03you have to be stable,
03:04and feed,
03:05and all that.
03:06When you have a competition locally,
03:07it's also not cheap.
03:08And,
03:10if you want to train overseas,
03:12lagilah cost-nya akan tinggi.
03:14So,
03:15sukan seperti Equestrian ni,
03:16Macam,
03:17Baru-baru ni,
03:18baru balik daripada Bahrain,
03:19kan?
03:20Other parents,
03:21some countries,
03:22yang bawa horse ke sana,
03:23tapi cost-nya sangat tinggi.
03:24You know?
03:25So, you know,
03:26of course,
03:27we cannot afford that.
03:28Kita ambil option,
03:29ambil kuda yang ada di sana saja.
03:30But that's also a risk.
03:31A risk,
03:32sebab kita tak tahu kuda tu,
03:33kan?
03:34So,
03:35if any parents,
03:36yang nak masuk Equestrian ni,
03:37I mean,
03:38you've got to be ready,
03:39to be able to invest time,
03:40and of course,
03:41a lot of money,
03:42to ensure,
03:43nak tengok,
03:44anak kita berjaya lah.
