Lea Michele Says She Dated Glee Co-Star Matthew Morrison before they starred on Glee together. Morrison is now engaged to model Renee Puente.

00:01Lea Michele once dated a Glee star that wasn't named Cory Monteith.

00:05And it's not who we expected.

00:07In Lea's new book, Burnett Ambition, she apparently reveals the brief romance, writing,

00:11When we shot the Glee pilot, I met some of the cast for the first time,

00:14but I had worked on Broadway with Matthew Morrison before.

00:17Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact, we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat.

00:23So the interesting part about this is that there were always rumors of Matthew and Lea dating,

00:27but the two always denied it.

00:28In 2010, she told Hollywood.com,

00:30I've known Matt for years. He's been a friend of mine from New York.

00:34People are going to make things up. I think it's just because we really are so close.

00:38That same year, Morrison also denied the romance in Parade magazine, saying,

00:42We were literally on set, and I got a call from my publicist.

00:45And she got a call a minute later, and we looked at each other like,

00:48What the f***? It's so laughable.

00:51By the way, we totally get why they were so secretive,

00:53since it might have seemed weird to Glee fans that the guy who played Lea's high school teacher on the show

00:59was also someone she might have made out with in real life.
