00:00I think that we all want to have people in power who have our best interests in mind.

00:20Well, I think I'm very aware of the iconography of Superman.

00:24I'm aware of what he means many different things to many different people.

00:29The fun in the movie is getting to the bottom of who Superman is as a person, in the middle of all of that.

00:36That, you know, we kind of see more of Superman's complex personality.

00:45The fact that he is his flaws. We see a little bit more.

00:49Even though this is a very kind, very good Superman, we see he can be a little bit stubborn.

00:53He can be a little bit impulsive in what his actions are.

00:57And he has got, you know, a really, you know, incredibly complex personality, as does Lois.

01:04And so that means their interaction is, you know, triply complex because of that.

01:08So I think it's cool to see him.

01:10No, not really, because I've screened the movie for so many people and saw that people aren't confused, you know.

01:19So I know from the fact that it's not confusing.

01:22But I think that, you know, we're used to seeing movies with protagonists and Superman is definitely the protagonist of Superman.

01:31And he has his work friends and he has his play friends.

01:35Now, I don't know if the Justice gang are his play friends or his work friends and if the Daily Planet are his work friends or his play friends.

01:42But that's the two groups of his friends from different places.

01:46And just because they have insignias on their costumes or superpowers doesn't mean they're not like any other supporting character in any movie.

01:54I think Oppenheimer has three times as many, you know, speaking roles as we do.

02:00So it's just, I think people are fine.

02:07Well, I think, you know, the thing is you can't concern yourself with the people that are negative.

02:11I think that, you know, Superman is kind of new to superheroing.

02:15He's only been doing it for three years.

02:16And we learned that occasionally he looks online and he reads what people are saying about him.

02:21And because he's only been doing it for three years, it probably gets to him a little bit.

02:25Me? I've been doing this for a long time.

02:28It's like, it's like you can't let that kind of stuff get to you.

02:32And, and I think that's true of Superman.

02:36And I think it's true of me.

02:44You know, I think, I think that, you know, Superman is more important to hard work.

02:50But I think he's more desired than ever.

02:53I think that we all want to have people in power who have our best interests in mind.

03:02And, and going to see Superman, you see that Superman is that person.

03:06He's got a lot of power.

03:07And he's, he cares about everyone.

03:09And he cares about, you know, looking after the little man.

03:12And I think that we live in a world with a lot of negativity.

03:16We look in a world with a lot of anger, a lot of mean discourse online.

03:23And I think that Superman is kindness.

03:26He represents kindness.

03:27And that is such a simple thing.

03:30And I don't think that when I was, you know, 12 years old,

03:34I think I'd be making a movie about kindness because it's in short supply.

03:39But hopefully, hopefully that Superman inspires people just to be a little more kind to each other.

03:44And a narrative to each other.
