00:00Sadly, the rumors are true. Tom Brady is hanging up his Pats gear.
00:05The six-time Super Bowl winning QB shocked everyone on Tuesday morning,
00:08announcing that he is leaving the New England Patriots, ending his 20-year run with the NFL team.
00:14And in an even more shocking move, Brady revealed that he is in fact moving on with another team.
00:20In a statement titled Love You Pats Nation, he wrote,
00:23Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we've
00:27achieved and am grateful for our incredible team accomplishments.
00:31Although many had hoped the famous QB would retire as a Patriot,
00:34Brady leaves New England with six Super Bowl rings and 41 playoff starts since 2001.
00:40Shortly after his announcement, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick offered his own statement, saying,
00:44Tom and I will always have a great relationship built on love, admiration, respect, and appreciation.
00:50Tom's success as a player and his character as a person are exceptional, and adding,
00:55it was a privilege to coach Tom Brady for 20 years.
00:58The quarterback did not specify which team he would sign with in the 2020 season,
01:02but is said to be exploring his options with NFL analysts reporting the Los Angeles Chargers
01:07or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as possible prospects.
01:10But it seems that LA could be the more attractive option for the athlete,
01:13considering Brady's involvement in Hollywood, which he's made clear he wants to continue.
01:18Aside from being one of the greatest athletes of this generation, Brady also has acting credits under his belt,
