'Saturday Night Live' ratings hit a season high with divisive host Dave Chappelle.

00:09and a .9 rating in the Adults 18 to 49 demo.
00:12However, the numbers are a big drop compared to Chappelle's last time hosting the series in 2020,
00:18which propelled the show to 9 million viewers and a 2.6 rating among Adults 18 to 49.
00:23That marked the highest-rated SNL episode in the demo in three years.
00:27Chappelle won an Emmy for guest-hosting that episode of the show.
00:31The latest ratings follow a wave of criticism directed at The Comedian and at SNL
00:35for Chappelle's extended 15-minute monologue where he made several statements deemed anti-Semitic.
00:40The monologue included comments where Chappelle tackled the controversy surrounding Ye,
00:45formerly known as Kanye West, anti-Semitic rants.
00:48NBC and SNL have not replied to requests for comment.
