00:00Hi! Hi! Nice to meet you.
00:12I saw it.
00:14How would you respond to Connie saying that he supports Trump because of his male energy?
00:18Do you need more male energy than her right now?
00:22Everybody has a right to their opinion.
00:28We also have a right to understand that our opinions are based off of perspectives from long ago, childhood, things that we've been through.
00:40I respond by saying it's time to be honest about the truth of our country and that women have been taking a backseat to this male power need for far too long.
01:00It saddened me, if I'm honest. It didn't infuriate me, but one of the things that I choose to focus on is the more adversity that comes to us, the more we mobilize to do the right thing.
01:16And so when we often focus on the negative or the catchphrase of the moment or the splash that's causing everybody to go on Twitter, what we miss is that we are having a movement, a movement forward.
01:34And when you have a movement forward, things like this are bound to happen.
01:40So it should actually be a little bit of a pat on our back that we are speaking up and we're speaking loudly and we're being heard.
01:46We will get to the fixings of this thing, but let's not forget the movement forward.
02:06I think it affects us because it makes us stronger when we hear such blatant lies, disrespects and misrepresentation of what this whole thing is.
02:19I would rather talk about Dr. Ford and Professor Ford and how what an honor it is to be a woman and stand with her in that type of adversity,
02:32to have been silenced for so long and to pick this moment to tell her truth in front of the entire country and other countries watching us.
02:42That's what strength is.
02:44Trump is going to be Trump.
02:46Nothing is going to change.
02:48So nothing surprises me anymore.
02:50What surprises me in a beautiful way are women like Professor Ford and all the other women that have been through things like this that are talking and even not talking.
03:02I mean, we can't forget the fact that this is affecting the hearts and the minds and the spirits of women that have yet to come forward in their own personal lives.
03:11And they're being affected hopefully in a positive way by paying more attention to a woman like Professor Ford and those of us that stand with her and less attention to the antics of someone who refuses to acknowledge our pain.
