00:00James McAvoy's new role is looking to be the Dream.
00:04It's been announced that the actor will be voicing the role of Dream in Audible's adaptation of The Sandman,
00:09the classic DC Vertical comic book written by Neil Gaiman.
00:12McAvoy, known for playing Professor X in the X-Men franchise, will lead a cast that also includes Riz Ahmed,
00:18Justin Vivian Bond as Desire, Arthur Darville, Kat Dennings as Death, Taron Egerton,
00:24and Michael Sheen as Lucifer, just to name a few.
00:26The Sandman, a cover of which you can see here with artwork by Dave McKean,
00:30originally ran for 75 issues from 1989 to 1996.
00:35The story begins with the accidental capture of Dream, the younger brother of Death,
00:39and the journey that begins when he's released seven decades later.
00:43Audible Originals editor-in-chief David Blum spoke out about the exciting casting news in a statement saying,
