00:18At the start of Season 2, Dream is in a place of rebuilding.
00:23He's determined to sort of go back and account for his behavior in the past.
00:29The consequences of which are enormous.
00:34The Sandman itself as a comic book is a sort of anthology that has a core narrative at
00:38its center.
00:40Our show really is about the story of Dream, and so every decision that we've made story-wise
00:45in Season 2 has been to follow Dream's story through Sandman.
00:50Now we know who Dream is and the world he exists within, it's possible to open up and
00:55Season 2 definitely does that.
00:58We have entirely new casts, entirely new worlds and historical periods that we're exploring.
01:03And there are a lot of new characters in Season 2.
01:06We are introducing the rest of the Endless family to fit into our little existing family
01:11that we had from Season 1.
01:13I think one of the most thrilling things about this season is for the first time to have
01:17the siblings of the Endless together in one room and to see this extraordinary family
01:22exist on screen together.
01:24I think what's really fantastic about the family dinner is it's where we learn about
01:28the chain of events, but it's also what sets off the chain of events.
01:32I am very excited for audiences to see the banquet that Dream throws for all of the visiting
01:38deities and gods and fairies in Season of Mists.
01:43It's your introduction to Thor, it's your introduction to Loki, Odin.
01:47It really is just a showstopper everywhere you look, something interesting and horrible
01:52is happening.
01:54To have divine representatives from different universes is utterly bizarre, terrifying and
02:01thrilling.
02:02Fans of the book will not be disappointed.
02:05I think that Sandman is made by fans of Sandman and it's a sight to behold.
02:12It is even more beautiful than it was in Season 1.
02:15Thrillingly, we offer so many different things and ideas and images and stories.
02:21We all work together to craft a collective vision of what Sandman can be based on the
02:26comic which we all love.
02:28And action.
02:29Our first port call is like, how can we do this as practical as possible so it feels
02:33really tangible and real.
02:35The sets are spectacular, the costumes are spectacular, the props are spectacular.
02:40It looks fantastic.
02:41I'm so thrilled by it and more importantly I think fans will be desperately excited by
02:47this season.
02:48We're constantly learning on this show and trying to bring the comic to life in a way
02:51that is faithful and yet has its own unique spin.
02:54I'm really excited for the public to see it.
