Transcript
00:00Glee's Lea Michele gives her first interview since Cory Monteith's death and talks about
00:05filming the upcoming tribute episode.
00:08Hi everyone, I'm Brian Corsetti for ENTV and TVLine.com has all the details.
00:14The much-talked-about Glee tribute episode to Cory Monteith airs tomorrow and no one
00:19on the cast is aware of that more than his girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele.
00:24For the first time since Cory's death over the summer, Lea opened up about the loss in
00:28an interview with Australia's TV Week that was published Tuesday night.
00:32Lea's character Rachel Berry has always had an on-again, off-again love with Cory's Finn
00:37Hudson since the start of the series in 2009, but it wasn't until a few years later when
00:42the two began a romance off-screen.
00:45She tells the publication, I feel like for me personally, I've lost two people, Cory
00:49and Finn.
00:50Thursday's episode titled The Quarterback will show the Glee Club dealing with the death
00:55of Finn much like in real life.
00:57While it was a difficult time on set, Lea calls filming the episode, quote, therapeutic.
01:01There's even a scene that reminds her of happier times with Cory where Rachel gives a plaque
01:06to the Glee Club.
01:07She tells TV Week that it reminded her of a summer when she and Cory traveled and took
01:12pictures with a plaque the actor took from set.
01:15She says it was so unbelievable that they chose to do that in the episode.
01:19So for me, there was a lot of little things that are so special.
01:23As previously reported, Lea was the one who made the decision to move forward with the
01:27filming of the show's fifth season, not too long after Cory's death.
01:31She opens up on why she made the decision, saying, everyone is asking, is it hard to do this?
01:36Is it hard to be back at work?
01:38But the truth is, it's no harder at work than it is in life.
01:42So we might as well all be together as a family, supporting each other to get through this
01:47together.
01:48Glee's The Quarterback airs tomorrow night at 9 p.m. on Fox.
