00:09Yeah, I don't need it, but I think some other Mary Ellen is going to say something.

01:54I've seen that you walk on the other seats.
01:55That's what an usher does.

04:31Thank you so much.
04:32Thanks for your time.
04:35I'll show you.
04:39Hi.
04:41What's your name?
04:44What's your name?
04:45Mike?
04:46No.
04:47Nice to meet you.
04:47Do you know Mr. Romano?
04:52Yes.
04:55When you're done reading things, if I could have some back.
04:58Enjoy or not enjoy them?
05:00Let me take a seat.
05:03I told them when you're done reading things, to get me back.
05:06Is that right?
05:11We can probably get more.
05:17Hey.
05:19Thank you so much.
05:24Thanks, man.
05:25What are you going to do, right?
05:35I'm going to have you walk.
05:36I've got to go back twice.
05:38Okay?
05:39Because you were the usher.
05:40This is on the...
05:43Slow down.
05:44Slow down.
05:44Slow down.
05:45Imagine we're on that kind of way.
05:47Okay?
05:47I'm the man of honor.
05:51It's okay.
05:52Hey.
05:53Wait.
05:54Stop.
05:54You.
05:55Are you?
05:56Sit on the table.
05:59And 24 years are going to be there.
06:04I'm sure you're missing this.
06:05Sorry for my excuse.
06:06I'm sorry for my cheek.
06:07I'm sorry for my cheek.
06:10Have you got to be here for you?
06:12Oh, your hair.
06:12I don't know.
06:42What? Come here. I don't want you, I want you to introduce me, because I'm the Master of Ceremonies.
06:52Okay, so just thank you all for being here, and now, to begin the ceremony,
06:57I remind Dr. Giamato's son, if I'd like to start the ceremony.
07:03Welcome to the Giamato's stage. I am here, I am Master of Ceremony.
07:16I'm the Master of Ceremonies, New Heidecker, and welcome me up here.
07:24All right. Thank you, everybody. Thank you for being here.
07:39I wish we were here under different circumstances, but we are here today to remember the life,
07:47and celebrate the life of Gabriel Giamato, and it's been very difficult,
07:56but today is about trying to shine a light on and remember the great life he had,
08:01and not wallow in thinking about him passing away.
08:06I need a program, Mark, because the first thing we're going to do is sing a hymn,
08:11one of Giamato's favorite songs from church, and I need a program. I was not given a program.
08:19If you open your program to page one or two, I guess, right there in the, open it.
08:29This is Be Not Afraid by, or this is Be Not Afraid.
08:34You shall cross the barren desert, but you shall not die of thirst.
08:57You shall wander for safety, though you do not know the way.
09:09You shall speak your words in foreign lands, and all will understand.
09:22You shall see the face of God by living.
09:34Be not afraid.
09:41I go before you always.
09:47Come, follow me, and I will give you rest.
10:00If you pass, if you pass, if you pass through raging waters in the sea,
10:08you shall not drown, you shall not drown.
10:13If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be found.
10:27If you stand before the power of hell, and death is at your sight.
10:37If you stand before the fire of hell, and death is at your sight.
10:39If you stand before the fire of hell, and death is at your sight, you shall not die on the surface.
10:47If you sit before the fire of hell, and death is at your sight.
10:53I'm not afraid, I go before you, Jesus, come for me, and I will give you peace.
11:17All right. Thank you very much. Thank you. Can you turn the music off, please? We don't
11:29have the third verse here. All right. Thank you. That was beautiful. Yes. So we have a
11:44short video tribute to Mr. Amato that we would like to play right now.
13:51All right.
13:52All right.
13:58All right.
13:59All right.
14:00We have a video message from a friend of Mr. Amato's, a friend of ours who was recently
14:05deported to his home country of Italy.
14:09His name is Manuel from the band.
14:10He made a generous video contribution to the ceremony today.
14:18So this is Manuel from DKR.
14:19So this is Manuel from DKR.
14:25I'm devastated.
14:26I'm devastated.
14:27I'm devastated.
14:28I'm devastated.
14:32All right.
14:33All right.
14:34This is Manuel.
14:35This is Manuel Giusti.
14:36I'm in Italy right now.
14:39I got deported for all the immigration crap.
14:43And I just heard about the passing of Amato.
14:46And I cannot express how devastated I am.
14:51I can't believe such a good man got just passed away.
14:56I just can't believe it.
14:58It was like, like a mentor to me.
15:00Like we, I just can't, I remember all the talking about the Italian heritage.
15:07When we're talking about Italian music and all the fun time that we spent together.
15:12And I just can't get it out of my head.
15:14I can't believe that such a great, great man passed away.
15:19I really wish I was be there.
15:22I could be there with you guys.
15:24Much love to all of you guys.
15:26And, and I'm totally devastated.
15:29I just can't believe it.
15:31Ciao.
15:37All right.
15:38This is your speech.
15:39Do you have something you want to say?
15:40No.
15:57Hello?
15:58Kylie.
15:59Mr. Amato was a movie buff.
16:11He loved to talk about the golden days of Hollywood.
16:14And though he didn't collect movies themselves, he had a great collection of priceless movie memorabilia that I helped him locate.
16:21In fact, this suit is a piece of priceless movie memorabilia.
16:26If you ever saw Decker, this is the original Kington, the Codebreaker suit that we actually took out of storage for this funeral.
16:34Mr. Amato was also a movie producer.
16:39And it's regretful that the movie he produced, the Pep Boys story, has not yet come out.
16:45But one day it will.
16:48I was able to talk to Mr. Amato about movies on more than one occasion.
16:53And I have compiled for you here today a list of three movies that Mr. Amato loved that you should try to see in his memory.
17:01Make it two.
17:02We're not doing three movies.
17:04We're doing three movies that he loved.
17:06And if you can see these within 48 hours of his speech, that would be great in memory of Mr. Amato.
17:16Number one, The Ten Commandments.
17:20Now, this movie is not just a popcorn classic.
17:23It's a Guinness Book record holder as one of the ten longest movies of all time.
17:27And it's only one minute shorter than Gone with the Wind.
17:31Mr. Amato owned a priceless prop from the Ten Commandments, a sandal that he treasured, and that some of the residents at Grand Terrace were lucky enough to see in person.
17:42Mr. Amato also owned the famous can of soup from the Ma and Pa Kettle movies, which sadly, due to his own fault, not due to any prop master, anyone associated with the Pep Boys movie, Mr. Amato 8, which was not the best.
18:00Mr. Amato 8, that's...
18:01Okay.
18:02Anyway, he ate the soup, which was not the best thing to do.
18:06Please, do not bring up a Alors weapon at him.
18:08Mr. Ok.
18:09Mr. Amato 7, especially by the guy who delivered a weapon into my father's home.
18:14So, cut that shit out.
18:17I apologize.
18:22Continue.
18:22the, basically, the soup should have been kept in a trophy case, not in the kitchen.
18:28It should have been in a trophy case because it was a priceless collectible.
18:32No, no.
18:32Okay.
18:34Number two, The Searchers, starring John Wayne from True Grit, which he won an Oscar for.
18:50Mr. Amato loved westerns and had pretty good knowledge of them, not VFA level, but definitely worthy of the title of true blue movie buff.
18:57He definitely knew a lot more about movies than Tim, his son, who doesn't have basic knowledge on the subject of movies.
19:08The Searchers is 119 Minutes and co-stars Natalie Wood from Rebel Without a Cause, which also starred James Dean from Decker vs. Dracula.
19:24Number three, The Switch.
19:29This was from 2010, so a lot more recent.
19:32Mr. Amato liked newer films as well as old ones.
19:35And this one starred Jennifer Aniston.
19:37And I actually loaned it to him recently.
19:40We were in the process of dubbing it from DVD to video because it hadn't come out at video because it came out five or six years after they stopped manufacturing videos.
19:51But I loaned it to him at Grand Terrace and he asked what it was about and I said, don't ask, just watch.
19:55It's a popcorn classic, which is all you need to know.
19:59You should definitely see it and you should all see The Switch.
20:02It's very cool.
20:03Anyway, he died just a couple days after that conversation.
20:06I don't know if he saw it or not, but he would have loved it.
20:11And when you see it, you'll love it too.
20:14It also stars Jason Bateman from Teen Wolf 2 and Jason Bateman from Zootopia 2, which comes out this week.
20:25And Zootopia 2 is a great sequel, even better than the original.
20:30Same characters teaming up once again to solve another case.
20:34And it also has Macaulay Culkin in it from Macaulay Culkin.
20:47Home Alone.
20:48Thank you, Kylie.
20:50Very cool.
20:50Five bags of popcorn.
20:51I want to apologize for that breach in decorum and the disrespect that you showed, Mr. Amato,
21:17here up on this dais was extreme and unprofessional and not something anybody here wants.
21:27I normally would be reviewing movies with you, but this is not the week for that.
21:34And I asked you not to bring up the Zootopia review because we will, there's always time for that in other forums, not here, not today.
21:44And for you to be specific about how he passed away with the details that you colored to make it sound like you have no responsibility for this is also not welcome.
22:00And I showed a lot of grace and dignity and humility by giving you the platform to speak on him because of your relationship with him, and you abused it.
22:10And there's a lot of blame to go around, and I will ask Mark to escort you out of here if you continue.
22:21Mark?
22:25That's the warning.
22:26Now just, that's your warning.
22:30But he loved the Ten Commandments and he would have wanted that.
22:32I agree.
22:34All right.
22:35We want to keep this moving.
22:38Speaking of Mark, we have an opportunity here.
22:44You know, this is coming out of my pocket, this day of celebration.
22:50And Mark, if you have the basket, if you want, just show, appreciate anything you guys want to contribute to the services today.
23:00And we also are planning a memorial plaque or something.
23:07We're not sure what we're going to do.
23:08We've got to talk to the family about that.
23:09But Mark's going to pass around a gift basket.
23:12And if anyone has anything to put in there, we would appreciate it.
23:15All right.
23:24We're going to ask a friend of, Reese, a new friend of G to come on up here while this is going out, going on.
23:34Thank you so much.
23:35We're going to ask Mary Ellen to come up and read a passage from Scripture.
23:59Let's go.
23:59Giamato was with us at Grand Terrace for a short time, but he made friends with everyone and was an avid participant in the Sunday afternoon Bible discussion group.
24:16As we pray and trust that his soul finds peace in God's heavenly embrace, we give thanks for the blessing of having known Mr. Amato.
24:34Now, I would like to share a couple of verses with you now.
24:42Daniel 12, 2, 3.
24:51Everyone whose name is found written in the book will be delivered.
24:58Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake.
25:04Some to everlasting life.
25:07Others to shame and everlasting contempt.
25:10Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of heavens.
25:21Psalms 144, 11.
25:24Rid me and deliver me from the hand of strange children whose mouth speaketh vanity and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
25:36Proverbs 18, 2.
25:42Fools find no pleasure in understanding, but delight in airing their own opinions.
25:52Wisdom 3, 1, 6.
25:54But the souls of the just are in the hand of God, and the torment of death shall not touch them.
26:05In the sight of the unwise, they seem to die, and their departure was taken for misery.
26:13And they're going away from us for utter destruction.
26:20But they are in peace.
26:24And though in the sight of men they suffered torments, their hope is full of immortality.
26:40Afflicted in few things, in many they shall be well rewarded, because God hath tried them, and found them worthy of himself.
26:56Thank you very much, Mary Ellen.
27:25I was working with Grok yesterday on a speech, and I couldn't get it there.
27:37I couldn't put down into words what I wanted to say today in a written form.
27:41And I thought I better just speak from the heart and tell you all how much he means to me and riff this,
27:53because I think that's going to be a more heartfelt way of expressing how I feel today and have felt for a long time and will feel forever.
28:02A lot of you guys know, a lot of people from Grand Terrace know, that I've been spending more and more time with G and you guys beyond just our filming of the show.
28:19And one of the great bonding moments that we've had in the past few weeks has been art night, I guess, arts and crafts night.
28:29And G and I would talk and draw and draw and talk all night long.
28:39I knew I was creative, but I didn't know I was creative in that way that you express yourselves through that visual arts.
28:47And I had no idea that G held in him those that creativity and I wanted to just start just say a few things about what we were working on literally two days before he died from the way he died.
29:05And we don't have to get into the details, but we were we had started talking about these characters and we were imagining a whole world of characters that would be for children and children of all ages, but specifically children.
29:23And we were talking about doodling and the idea of doodling and how good doodling is for your soul.
29:30Chicken soup for the soul, but as doodling, drawing and we were playing around.
29:37I'll just show you guys a couple of characters.
29:40This is Sam.
29:41This is I basically G drew this and then I he drew a version of Sam and then I drew a version of Sam.
29:50It's kind of a combo, but this is Sam and I always when I see this now, I see G and maybe we'll call him.
30:00G or Gabriel and then I drew Cloud and Cloud would be in the show would be probably sort of a little more of a mystical character.
30:12I'm not sure.
30:13Some sort of a like a hippie.
30:15And then we talked about there being kind of in those worlds, those kind of shows, almost like in Star Trek, you have the sort of Sam would be Kirk and then somebody like Baxter we have here would be more like the voice of reason, like Dr. Spock or Mr. Spock.
30:34Anyways, and then Mel sort of comic relief.
30:40I'm not sure who that almost looks like Mark, but I don't know who would do the voice.
30:44I don't know if this would even be this could be a storybook or I don't know what it'll be.
30:48Anyways, it's been so helpful to be able to think about these characters because they are my link to dad.
30:57They are the thing that we love doing together is coming up with stories for the Doodle Dots.
31:02We're calling them the Doodle Dots for now.
31:05That might change.
31:05But it is an interesting world if you think about it or if, you know, something that we would develop together but won't because he's gone.
31:15But I want to carry that torch into the future.
31:17And I want to thank everybody for showing up and getting dressed.
31:22Everyone looks great.
31:23And thank you for arranging for transport for everybody.
31:30Let's see if there was anything else I want to touch on.
31:40I should have, definitely should have.
31:45Now I'm thinking I should have made a note.
31:46Let me see if there is anything in Grok.
31:49Because I did, I'm supposed to save your notes.
31:53Yeah, here we go.
31:53Friends and family, we're honored.
31:55We are, this is what I started.
31:56We are honored.
31:57We are here to honor a remarkable man, my father.
31:59He was a beacon of kindness.
32:01Always ready with a laugh or a helping hand.
32:04His love for us was unwavering.
32:06And though he's gone, his wisdom and warmth live on.
32:09And every story we share and every life he touched.
32:12Rest in peace, dad.
32:13We'll carry you in our hearts forever.
32:16All right.
32:23Man.
32:28I guess the only thing I want to add to that is, you know, I don't know where I go from here.
32:34Because, you know, G was the only man that ever really believed in me.
32:44And maybe the only man who ever, you know, really loved me.
32:49And I don't, you know, I don't know, I don't know what that says about me.
32:58But he's gone and he ain't coming back.
33:04Speaking of that, I got a new song I wrote for dad.
33:11And I think we'll take a look at that now.
33:15Daddy's gone.
33:16Daddy's gone.
33:16Daddy's gone.
33:20Daddy's gone.
33:20Daddy's gone.
33:21Daddy's gone.
33:21Daddy's gone.
33:22Daddy's gone.
33:22Daddy's gone.
33:23I could see him waiting.
33:26Bye.
33:27Flying past the snow-white clouds
33:39Past the storm up into the beautiful sky
33:44Daddy's gone up to the river
33:55And breaks my heart to see him go
34:00But he's up in paradise
34:10Sitting with God on this side
34:14No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
34:19Can't stop crying
34:34Now I've got no hope
34:38No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
34:53Everyone can sing this part with me
34:55I'm talking cheap
35:02Oh, yeah
35:05Yeah, I'm out of the tree
35:09Oh, yeah
35:13Yeah, I'm out of the tree
35:17Oh, yeah
35:20Gee

36:09Why, why do you have to die?
36:20Why, why do you have to die?
36:29Why, why do you have to die?
36:39Why, why do you have to die?
36:59Thank you, everybody.
37:00That was, I wish I had, you know, we're still working on the mix.
37:04But I could, Axe, I could hear a little harmony from you on there.
37:09It would be awesome.
37:14I guess there's an elephant in the room here.
37:16As some of you guys may know, Dad had a twin brother down in Argentina,
37:24and he's here today.
37:29I wasn't sure you were able to make it,
37:30but I would love if you wanted to say a few words about your brother.
37:34This would be a great time, so.
37:37You do? Okay.
37:42Nice to meet you.
37:43There's a, it's good one.
37:44Today we remember my brother Gabriel Amato.
38:09He was not only my brother, he was my brother.
38:13A little mother was mid to his feet and his toenails.
38:16We were like, he had to get rid of the same clothes.
38:18His mother was wearing on the same dress.
38:19It was a very convenient thing.
38:21It simply needed to buy me twoeds.
38:22We were the same.
38:25We were together.
38:26We were all united.
38:28But after starting and graduating in the university,
38:30Gabriel told us that he wanted me to move on to the United States.
38:35He was asking,
38:37you did that?
38:38What is it?
38:39No.
38:40No, he wanted to become a successful entrepreneur in California.
38:47He considered the land of the hope and dreams.
38:52He loved cinema and dreamed of working in Hollywood, but he was realist and knew that he would never be a star of cinema.
39:01He only wanted to be in action.
40:08Pero hoy estoy triste, me arrepiento muchísimo.
40:16Ojalá nunca hubiera venido.
43:07Si fuera up to mí, ahí me hubiera 300 personas aquí.
