00:50The date on my calendar that I've learned to both love and dread.

00:54It's the Pac-We-Won Chip Challenge.

00:56Which somehow, someway, just gets crazier every single year.

01:05We have to bring a guest and today we have a very good one.

01:08Tony Hawk, back in the building.

01:10He's a bonafide skateboarding legend, the pioneer of the 900, the man behind the best video game series ever,

01:16a philanthropist and entrepreneur, and someone who knows food better than most anyone I know.

01:21Tony Hawk, welcome back to the Hot Ones.

01:25I'm kidding.

01:26So you were actually one of our earliest guests way back in the Hot Ones Wild Wild West days.

01:33What do you remember about that trip against the Gauntlet?

01:36It was a live event at ComplexCon.

01:38And have you been experimenting with spicy food in a bigger way since then?

01:42Well, I remember it being the first live show you did.

01:45Yep.

01:46So I felt very self-conscious because we had an audience there and also I knew that it was just going to run in real time.

01:52So it was hard to get through the bites and not look like you're just sitting there chewing and chewing and chewing forever.

01:59So I remember that, but also the 7th or 8th wing being way hotter than anything else.

02:03Yeah, and that hasn't changed by the way.

02:05And you gave me a hot sauce.

02:08I can't say that I've tried to explore hotter things since then.

02:12And so going into this, I feel a little ill-prepared.

02:16But we're in good hands.

02:17Together, we will take out this Pocky Chip and we will live to tell the tale at the other side.

02:28Two years ago, we had Lil Yachty on.

02:29The first time he'd ever tried a hot sauce was actually on Hot Ones.

02:32And then the second time that he'd ever eaten anything spicy was when he took out the One Chip Challenge.

02:37And we actually have a clip of that to show you kind of what he was going through.

02:41Not to psych you out or leave the witness.

04:30latex gloves, and that's because, in this box, we have the chip in the coffin, which I know
