00:00Hello and welcome to this South Australian Jane's Weather Update for Thursday.

00:04We've got two weather systems and we are squeezed in the middle of them.

00:07There's a cold outbreak that is moving across the southeast of the country.

00:10We're not seeing much wet weather from that, but it is on the cool side.

00:14Up in the north, we've got our next rain system brewing.

00:17The leftovers from the cyclone, all of that moisture,

00:20and we're pouring straight across the country here.

00:22So let's watch that in action day by day.

00:25By the end of Thursday, it's only just crossing the border in through here.

00:28By Friday, there it is.

00:31So a big, juicy northwest cloud band is going to move through during the day on Friday

00:36and deliver some significant rain as it comes in.

00:39That is Friday. Let's now have a look at Saturday.

00:41That clears away. The next cold outbreak is brewing to the south.

00:44So let's watch that one.

00:45It comes up on Sunday into Monday into Tuesday, crossing the southeast there.

00:51By the end of Tuesday, high pressure is in through here.

00:54So that's out to our east by Wednesday and Thursday when conditions are looking a lot nicer.

01:00So let's go what the totals for that might be.

01:03In the far southeast corner, 25 to 50 millimetres, 15 to 25.

01:07So generally 10 to 25 through all of these parts here.

01:11It mainly falls during the day on Friday.

01:13Then the top of that cold outbreak as it comes through Sunday, Monday into Tuesday.

01:18What does that mean for Adelaide?

01:19Today, we're about 20.

01:21So on the cool side, there's increasing sunshine in the afternoon.

01:24We've got our burst of wet weather on Friday.

01:26About 10 millimetres is the average across the weather models at this stage.

01:30We're 23 and then conditions deteriorate after that.

01:33So we're 19 as we go into Saturday.

01:35Temperatures 19, 19, 17 as we go into Monday.

01:39So there's our next cold outbreak coming through.

01:412 millimetres, 7 millimetres.

01:43A bit clear by Tuesday.

01:45Increasing sunshine in the afternoon.

01:47Then temperatures jump up.

01:48We're up in the high 20s by Wednesday and Thursday next week.

01:51So there's a bit of a roller coaster to go on.

01:54The main wet day is Friday and then Sunday into Monday as that cold air does come back.
